I'll be honest the most pleasing part of this window for me is that Fab is still very much patrolling the deep end. Long may that continue.
I’m genuinely curious to know the dynamic between him and Lange. At this point I think once his ban is over he will come back in an official capacity. As long as he’s involved that’s excellent news really.

I know it’s obviously above board, but if he’s not allowed to work on transfers etc - how is he still working on our deals? Is it because he’s only “advising” so not actually earning a wage?

I'd imagine if they've worked through the night to close this and it's at the stage WLB is suggesting I'd be very surprised if he isn't traveling over this morning as soon as it's signed off. Medicals can easily be done in one day.
You mean another day of flight tracking!!?? 👨🏼‍✈️🤓

While some reactions were hysterical and disgraceful, I don't think blaming the ownership and the people in charge is unexpected, given what was being shared here.

It's very easy to be smart now when the situation is back in control but at one point it was looking like we are back to square one after knowing what we are in dire need of for 4 months.
It's very easy to be smart now the situation is back in control?

How it's panned out was entirely predictable. Come onnnnnnnn, there's no hindsight here.

I can't wait till his bans are over and he is back personally, it has been so massive for us in most deals with his guidance and relationships with parties.

Ansu Fati last window..?
We backed out because of no option to buy.
But it's a funny example.

When we were first linked, none of the bedwetters wanted him. Ffs Levy, cheap option, no coherent strategy etc.
When the transfer didn't happen, the very same bedwetters were livid and I got lots of disagrees for saying that it was the right decision to back out when there was no buy option.

I believe Juve still have more investigations which could possibly implicate him. They seem to be doing everything to blame anyone no longer associated at the club

I thought that was more us pulling out of the deal because Barca wouldn't accept a loan with an obligation - they just wanted a straight loan.

To the point, ALL clubs have been hijacked at some point or another, we did it to Everton in the Danjuma deal, Chelsea did it to Arsenal in the Mudryk deal, Chelsea also got Jorginho ahead of Man City etc... it's not something that happens exclusively to Tottenham.

Absolutely! I do wonder though with his consultancy role, surely he is free to do the same for other clubs? It's a shame he isn't more locked down because that man has been a real asset!
We've shown an incredible amount of loyalty to him so you'd hope it was reciprocated. We hung on till his position was completely untenable and when everyone else would have turned their backs on him we worked out a way for him still to be involved.

Obviously this isn't totally altruistic, Levy and to a lesser extent Munn have realised he's shit hot at his job and people like him don't grow on trees.

lange will move on of go into a technical role like the one we had before . This is the Dons patch
That's really encouraging to hear actually and long suspected that he would in all likelyhood return in an official capacity here.

If there can be a real harmonisation between Levy, Paratici, Lange/transfer committee and CAA Base then this bodes really well for our future recruitment plans.

I think it's also wide of the mark to say our deal for Diaz was hijacked. Liverpool had already been negotiating and were confident of getting him but held off as Porto said they wanted to wait until the summer. Once we kicked it off and it was clear Porto had changed their mind Liverpool closed the deal, give or take.

The reaction isn't unexpected at all, but it is unwise and pretty unhealthy in my opinion. As with every transfer ever, it's a sensible idea to let rumours play out a little before getting upset, because things can change quickly and there are all sorts of inaccuracies and Chinese whispers in play.

It would have been much smarter (in my view) for those people to give it at least 12 hours before making their post, because that way those people could confirm that the negative slant is true. So it's not about being smart now - it's very much about being smart then, and not making a nasty post based on very little. If more people acted in that way, we would avoid so much of the moaning about moaning about moaning etc.

The news around Dragusin has generally been positive and been looking like he will become a Spurs player, but as the cliche goes... nothing is certain until he's holding up the shirt. If that logic was also applied when a rumour emerges about him going to another club it would do a lot of people a lot of good I reckon.

Massive thanks to our ITKs as usual - WLB has been putting a huge shift in on Dragonsteaks in particular!
