He was gonna be on loan anyway this season. It’s just where he’s spending it. Genoa is lovely. He might actually learn something.
He was but the sporting director and co normally sit down with the recruitment team, coaches and discuss a good place for him. That then gets discussed with the player and his reps.

I am not sure if this is the case here, looks like it is just a convenience.

I haven't got a problem with it. In fact, they may even be trying to put him in the shop window.

But I can understand Spence's reservations as they may feel he is just being 'sent away'. Even if it is deserved or good for him

It was in the transfer section so access can easily be revoked.
To be fair, the one thread that people get banned from and is moderated very tightly is the ITK thread - the players threads have always been a bit of a free for all. If we are now going to also crack down on the player threads (if this is what you are now suggesting) then that will need to be very clearly communicated because as I said, this has never been the case.

Have you ever been to a Spurs match? It's 50% tantrums, spite and hate.

Let me see, first game was in 1975-ish, so getting on for 50 years. I reckon i've done around 20 seasons not missing a game home or away and a shitload only missing a handful. Slowed down a lot as i've got older though :D

So yeah, i've been to 'a Spurs match' :woot:

But we're talking about SC, what fans are like at games isn't a free pass for it on here.

PS: On reflection that doesn't come across as friendly or as jokingly as I meant it. No offence meant.

It has ALWAYS been the case that Aggregators were not permitted even in the player threads. It may not have been policed the same, but the rules are.

I don't think most people would have issues with any links posted in threads, even if it's bad news or ones that might not be as knowledgeable.

I think from last night the issue was pages and pages of people almost having mental breakdowns over one Twitter post saying Bayern were interested in the player. As soon as that was posted and a few started their meltdown, others joined in, and it got worse and worse! I don't think we need to ban all from the player threads, but people really need to control themselves a bit more, remember take everything with a pinch of salt!

Ok well that maybe was the case but it certainly has never actually been policed or implemented like that. Also, you were suggesting that people could get access revoked to the entire transfer section which is why it raised my eyebrow and I wanted some clarification. (personally I have no issue with there being a ban on aggregators in here by the way, I think its probably a good idea)

It is simple though, find the original source if it's attributed, or don't post it. A&C must have said it hundreds of times over the years.

To be even fairer, anything 'clearly communicated' is pretty much a waste of time. We could walk around the stadium with loudhailers, take out full page ads in "I'm a twat online" magazine, have aircraft flying about the place with banners, a sled being pulled by a crack team of huskies with placards on it and have it tattooed on to each members partners arse. And still people would ignore it.

But to be fair to your point, yes we do moderate the player thread a lot less strictly but even then there are limits.

At the same time we've also been very vocal about aggregators and clickbait not being posted. This is where we go back to relying on people meeting us halfway I suppose. Why there seems to be this need to seek out and air the shit, is genuinely baffling.

And it also occurs to me that the rules to this part of the site need looking at and perhaps tweaking to reflect changing times.

I get that, but if has never actually been policed before then you can understand why people just post it anyway. If it is now to be policed and people potentially losing access to the transfer section then that needs communicated clearly. As I said, I've personally no issue with that if this is what happens.

No chance in hell both will start
VDV will start, he's said so himself. So the only question is does Ange do with Dragusin what he did at the start of the season with VDV and throw him in at the deep end shortly after arriving.

I think the answer to that is partly based on when he lands at the lodge, but if he lands tonight and is in training tomorrow then it's quite possible IMO.

This deal is not dependent on the Spence loan, it's not even connected to the Spence loan.
It seems pretty clear to me that the relationship between the two clubs is amicable, Genoa have a requirement and we have a player that would help them as well as us & him.

They were also linked to wanting a couple of players from Napoli, so I guess it was easy to see what players they might want and throw names in to see if any interested them to help keep it amicable.

Sorry to quote you again but, well, you know.......... :D

Communicated clearly is usually something said in the OP of the Daily ITK Discussion Thread. And that gets routinely ignored. We even tried a pop up that you had to dismiss to signify that you'd read and understood, that did no good either. So we do try but, well, it don't do much good.

So I wouldn't worry too much about clearly communicated. Of course we'll be fair and try but i'm not going to nanny people. People either take notice or they don't. All of us have other things to do with our time.

Not sure what's worse, the meltdown, or the post mortem of said meltdown that has taken up a further 52 pages :cautious:

I just want to see if we've signed a decent defender :D
