I do wonder if one of the consequences of having 5 subs is an increase in cynical teams and players taking yellows to land a ‘reducer’ on an opponent.

Either way it does reduce the impact of a yellow as a punishment if managers can simply take off 4-5 players on yellows.

I’ve noticed PL games becoming more violent and that can only be a combination of this and the officiating loosing control / authority and deferring too much to VAR.

Feels like we’re going backwards to the days where skilful creative players get kicked out of the game.

Honestly I'm just relieved it wasn't his knee again. That would be absolutely devastating and you'd wonder if he'd ever come back from it again.

This is seriously bad news but as long as he makes a full recovery, he's literally just been through worse and will get through this too.

Oh and obligatory fuck Matty Cash. I don't wish injuries on players but if someone snaps his leg I won't be sad.

He went in on Bentancur knowing he couldn't possibly get the ball and was reckless as to whether he injured him. So he can get fucked.

I really admire Ange for his dignity in a world full of buffoons like Arteta. Another side of me wishes he would lay into Cash over his violent assault on Bentancur. However, why should he lower himself into the gutter alongside the detritus that is Cash.

Season is done! I expect Lo Celso will pick up an injury at city to be the icing on the cake.

If this happens and we go into January with just PEH and Skipp as our midfielders then Donley can feel hard done by if he isn't given a chance.

The amount of injuries with our light schedule is unbelievable. Thought we might be able to field a settled team the whole season.

Feels like from the Palace game where the ref allowed them to make some really poor challenges, teams are going in very aggressively and calculated even after the balls long gone. Thinking how easily we were picking up bookings earlier in the season for nothing fouls, the officiating feels very suspect.

The club should be highlighting the inconsistencies we’ve had with referees this season and asking for an explanation behind closed doors. Think there was a stat the other week I saw where weve got the highest ratio of yellow cards to fouls in the league by quite a way.
This is spot on. I noticed that too. Teams picked up on how refs were letting 'yellow' card challenges go in the first ten mins of games. As a result, you'd see the opposition teams absolutely battering our players, knowing there'd be no repercussions. The Cash tackle was not an 'orange' card tackle. It was red. Simple as that. No intent to go for the ball, scissor kicked a standing leg. He knew exactly what he was doing. As it was Lolo's reconstructed knee. And the Benta at that time was tearing them a new asshole in the first 15 mins. It may not have been deliberate in terms of causing a long-term injury. But it was deliberate in terms of scaring the player.

I don't wish injury on any player, except for when Charlie Adams played. Same now applies to Cash. After two of those to our players, he can fuck right off. Pure filth.

Yes, I will accept the laughter and the rest. I deserve it. I gave an honest appraisal from what I heard within his camp. I shouid of held out, and shared behind closed doors like I normally do. Sorry for raising all hopes, including mine
We know you pass on what you can in good faith mate, it's all good 👍.

Gutted for him.

It was a horrendous challenge. Totally unnecessary, and totally cynical. Players like Cash are the worst type of player.
I have more respect for the oaf like late tacklers because they're just too slow. Than the cynical, cowardly, piece of shit tacklers like Cash.

Ange is class but he will call out things that are wrong, I expect him to make a comment about it for sure even if not directly calling Cash by name he might just look into the camera lens and say “Mate I know where you live and let’s just say there will be a few more creepy crawlies when you’re sleeping now, shipped over from the outback”
