I’m fine with Aurier as a backup, and if that rumored £12m fee is true for Doherty, just sell Foyth/CCV to make that happen. I’ve got it all figured out, fellas!
Sounds like Aurier would also like to leave the club — it’s a mutual separation.

Which is fine, but I don’t think it’s incorrect to state historically if Levy doesn’t have his valuation met, he is happy to have them sit around collecting wages. Could very well see that happening with Aurier which is probably the wrong type of guy to do that with.

I’ve always been a but sceptical about the Milan links as they all seemed to originated from a report where Maldini said they looked at him LAST summer. Nothing that they were in for him this. It’s just been run by the papers that they are.

Can't imagine Leverkusen is offering what we want. Even though they get lots of dosh from Chelsea for Havertz but can not see it.
The issue with Leverkusen will most likely be wages. Whether they can afford what Aurier wants/whether Aurier is fine with what they’re offering.

Furthermore I could see Aurier being attracted to the “glamour” of a club like AC Milan (even if they’re has-beens) but I don’t think Leverkusen has quite the same pull.

From Trix this morning for those that missed it

Not exactly one in one out, but we need to shuffle the pack to make room. Non HG is an issue, making it more like a Soduku puzzle than just filling in the blanks.

DL has one eye on another potential lockdown(many experts saying it'veey possible) happening in the winter, and another large loss of incoming revenue. We are trying to maneuver in such a way that should this happen, we will feel as little impact as possible.

Outgoings are always an issue for us mainly because DL tries to extract the absolute maximum out of every one. We usually get it, but it takes a lot longer to happen. I said a month a go TN was a goner, that looks to be almost certain now. Bids for both him and Aurier, and shifting those two clears the way.

Still expecting at least 2 in and likely a 3rd

I'm usually borderline a BSoDL with Levy when it comes to how he's built the club up from a really shit situation under Sugar.

That said he goes so OTT on being financially prudent. For example when the insane TV money came in he refused to spend it because he thought it was going to be a contract the networks would regret and the next contract would leave clubs in a crap situation with hugely inflated wage bills. Turns out he couldn't have been more wrong and the next TV contracts were bigger than the others as TV companies are realizing sports is basically the only thing keeping them alive. So the market massively inflated and we were left with our feet in the mud because we didn't jump in ahead of time like other clubs did. Which is partially why our squad is in the situation it is at the moment.

Levy's penchant for "preparing for the absolute worst" means us as supporters essentially have to live out the worst case scenario (in terms of player investment) whether the worst happens or not.

Question is...Have they pulled out because Serge has his heart set on another team or another team has moved in pole position?

My guess is final posturing. Leverkusen come in last minute (spurs keen to get price up) Milan decide to pull out (Milan keen to keep price low) I would say this is last knocking now - seems to follow a pretty obvious path with transfer negotiations

Only worry is that Milan have been posturing up with some other deals like Bakayoko and Ibra who they still haven't signed which suggests they don't have the funds.

I'll never understand why some fans feel the need to insult people because they didn't think that they were good at kicking a ball around. As long as the player doesn't outright disrespect the football club, their team mates or their fans then I'll always wish them well.

Christ lighten up. He hardly slagged his mum off did he lol? It was a joke! Referring more to the fact we cant get rid of him more than a personal insult.
I'll never understand why some fans feel the need to get on their high horse over fk all. Busy day?
