Still not sure why footballers would want a Twitter account in the first place.
Listening to Talksport last night (I know) & Ben Foster was guesting, they were talking about players wanting away & he said all the players knew all the rumours about which clubs wanted them through Twitter.

Another player leaving on loan with option to buy. Hopefully some of these options get picked up or else we are going to have the biggest squad in Europe next summer!

This is where not needing outs before ins financially has helped this window. Presuming Reg, Winks, Tanganga, Gil plus GLC and Ndombele will all be loans initially, we would have brought in less than 50mil now. Kinda pisses all over those lists people make with sales at 150mil and a overall budget of 300mil.

Totally agree with this. I said as much at the beginning of the window. People make lists saying how much we could bring in to allow us to buy a their favourite player from FIFA. When in reality the European market is fucked so straight sales were never an option for many of our high earning cast offs.

Sky talking about Reggie to Fulham on loan

I have a question - how come we arent selling any of these players but loaning? I know one or two have an obligation to buy etc are we just hoping that these players perform well and some will increase in value

European teams are skint. And I would guess that a player like Regi might only be open to a loan to a lower side in the prem because he hopes that by next summer better european sides might have sorted their finances enough to buy him.

Yeah, I think it’s down to the European market still recovering from Covid losses, and also probably has a lot to do with us trying to get rid of our broken toys and the other clubs knowing it. We don’t have a lot of leverage with these guys, they have basically been banished, we don’t want them around and most of them are on higher wages than these buying clubs would typically hand out. All of that kind of leads us to having to agree to more friendly deals to the buying club.

Yeah thats true - the skint bit is definitely true it seems and im guessing we may not want to sell to those in the PL who actually can afford our players like GLC or Ndombele.. im guessing again.

Yeah and I guess thats what we are trying to do with our own players like Romero etc - so we use the cash we get next summer to reinvest. I think thats why the whole £150m was not in addition to funds but allowed us to do these deals.

Very frustrating as it seems only PL have the money and the other clubs around Europe relying on this league

I think that guess is probably very wrong and its more likely prem clubs don't want anything to do with them.

If he's available on loan I'm surprised Barca doesn't take him. They have to shift a couple players first but could be a deal that makes sense for them.

I get it with Ndombele and GLC but even the likes of Gil? Tanganga? Reggie and Reggie im surprised by as he is a good player just not suited to us.

Agreed and I think it's weird that I only see slander of him on Twitter acting as if he's the worst player in the world because he can't get a move he prefers and might not want to go abroad.

I actually thought he was decent whenever he played with us. Perfect, no - but I think he can certainly play for another top 5 league side and start.

After contacts in the last few hours, Lazio now seem to have been overtaken by Fulham. The English team has expressed interest in Reguilon and now has the upper hand. The Spanish full-back would prefer to stay in the Premier League, but the Biancocelesti are still in the running. However, Lazio still have to settle some issues related to the player's salary and Hysaj's role in the squad.

He would be a real coup for Fulham. There's a good player in there but too inconsistent but if they get him firing he would be great for them especially his pace as their CB's are so slow.
