Can imagine Mourinho being interested in this guy but probably looking to prioritise other areas first. If they get sorted and we can move on a couple of players to balance the books somewhat, can see us taking a closer look at this one provided Utd (or any other top tier club) drop out and Madrid are not looking for silly money or a buy back clause.

Think we've got a dog in this race but probably depends on outgoings unless it's a really good deal like Ally Gold mentioned. He's a great talent but what would it mean for Sess? Cirkin i can understand as he's not even made a competitive first team appearance and can get minutes in other comps like the Europa qualifiers. Sess, on the other hand, needs minutes consistently to develop and I'm not sure if we can offer him that at the moment.

It seems likely Sess will be playing LW this season [and for the foreseeable future]. Reguilon and Davies would be our LB options.

It's interesting that Dragon keeps raising Reguilon whereas most other ITKs (and Ally Gold) are saying it's a CB we're after. Personally I'd rather bring in Reguilon and have Davies serve as a CB option alongside Sanchez, Toby, Dier, and Tanganga. I think we're stronger overall by upgrading the LB position with a top class player and having Davies slot in at CB, as he has done to a reasonably high standard in the past, than we would be by replacing Foyth with another project CB such as Kim Min Jae.

I fully agree. This is why I really hope that the Telles to United links are true, as that would mean they are out of the running for reguilon.

Agreed, so much more formation and tactical flexibility with Reguilon. We can play 3-5-2, SR could play the Doherty role on the left with Tanganga or Sanchez playing the Davies sit back role on the right, he can just play in normal flat back 4 as he did all year with Sevilla.

Relying all year on Davies is nervewracking considering his injury track record and our massive fixture list. While I love the potential of both Sess and Cirkin, they are 20 and 18, I can’t say I feel significantly comfortable leaning heavily on them if Davies was potentially out for a couple months.

I wish we'd just go for a loan with an option/obligation if money is the issue

If we’re looking for a LB, surely we would be better off going for Pervis Estupinan from Watford who’s actually played in the EPL, is homegrown ? Let the Manures have Reguillon

Or 'reh gih lon'?

Native speaker here, it's reh-gih-LON
(the G as in golf)

In Spanish, having 'gue' or 'gui' makes the u silent, except when the u has umlaut (eg, Agüero)

This is the original article from Forbes...written by a pro-United journalist (Sam Pilger), who also writes for times, 442, Athletic, Bleacher Report...
Dont know if he is reliable, but he seems to write exclusively on United content.

Reguillon snippet :
United believe their name is being used to drive up interest in Reguilon, and the expectation is he will instead soon join Tottenham Hotspur.

At the very least that suggests Utd aren't interested in signing him, which makes sense with Shaw and Williams there already. Although I suppose it could be them playing down interest to try and bring Madrid's price down.
