Although I am in tears already anticipating the arrvival of Bale, the signing of Reguilón is the best news we could have had. Gives us so many options in terms of style of play, hopefully we see Hojberg being used as DM and Doherty / Reguilón could dare I say be better then Walker and Rose.

Now that 4-3-3 might be slightly irresponsible and reckless but just imagine Ndombele-Holberg-Lo Celso behind Son-Kane-Bale with teams being stretched by Doherty and Reguilòn on the wings.

Puh… What has Levy done

I'd imagine in 4-3-3 it'd be either/or on GLC and Ndombele, with either Hojbjerg/Winks as the pivot and Sissoko/Hojbjerg as the box to box for balance purposes. It's probably for that reason I'd prefer the 3-4-3 option.

Eh? Hes a young player with one season playing at top flight league, the kids going to develop. Like I have said, I would hate to see him develop into a worldie and see Madrid, of all clubs "saying thank you very much", here's £5M.
We're not getting top 4 with Ben Davies at Lb. He cant dribble, link the play into midfield, or create chances.

You seem to think we're doing the guy a favour 'developing' him for Madrid. He will be contributing to us in return. Hopefully helping to get us in the top 4 which is worth how many millions?

It's a huge season for us and if we dont do well its bye bye Kane, we need some better players in by any means possible at the moment.

Yeah. Like I said, luxury lineup. But still. Ouf.

I am not denying any of that, hes a quality player and will improve us, I would have liked to see a little more back in our pockets given the potential he has and the fees involved for quality fullbacks.
the fact I hate RM may be influencing my views (y).

Actually feel sorry for him as everyone is going mad over Bale!
This guy was class for Sevilla last season and it’s almost like we have a better version or Rose & Walker at full backs

Why is it every signing we make we have to then slag off the player he MIGHT be replacing. Can’t we all just be happy we’ve signed a clearly talented kid from an elite club without slagging off Davies all the time. Dickheads.

Agreed. A couple of strong seasons in the PL and he could easily be worth 50% more than Real has to pay. Even if the clause is invoked, it's more lucrative for us than a loan (we make a profit instead of a loss).

Perhaps Levy was more willing to compromise on the buy-back clause in return for Real meeting some of his demands for a Bale loan. It's also possible that Levy negotiated an increased buy-back fee compared to the £37m United reportedly rejected.

Davies is criminally underrated on here.

100%. Ben is a great squad player as he can cover LCB and LB and has served us well over the years. He'll still play plenty of games for us.

In a back 5 or back 3, however you wanna put it, Davies will still play on the left side of the 3 CBs, like in Wales, where he is even more effective.
Davies is our only left sided defender now jan vertonghan has left if we opt for a back 3 I can definitely see Ben getting games

I agree 100%, there are not too many other back up left backs that I would want in the squad - he done it well when Rose was at his peak, model proffesional and the versatility to play left centre back in potential back 3s is another plus point.
