Would love to see him come good, but unless he is showing tremendous efforts in training to get in shape and shows that he can translate that into being industrious in the center of the park, he has to go. Teams in the Premier league simply cannot afford to have a player that is a one way, offensive only CM anymore. Even the bottom ten teams run circles around him in the midfield putting added pressure on the other mids and defense. Lucky that the bottom 10 don't necessarily have the quality to make us pay.

Oh I don’t know -Arsenal have a couple of half decent youngsters

Patience is a virtue. He isn't in the squad yet because there are standards to live up to in terms of drive, commitment and running until you can no longer stand for the team. That marker was laid down on Sunday. Anyone that falls below those standards shouldn't be in the team, or on the bench.

But I don't think we will, or should, sell him yet. He can still be an important squad member. If someone offered us £60m then I'm almost certain we'd take it, but I don't see anyone offering that based on his handful of good showings over the last 2 years.

Would not be surprised if he walks for a free in 2024 after a couple of loans.

I just cannot see anyone paying anyone a substantial transfer fee and his wages unless he sorts himself out.

Yep. We've snookered ourselves here. 3 years in and the same excuses, just face it - he's not the player we hoped he was going to be.

I'm giving him another chance and IDGAF

To be honest I don't think it's so much about us fans giving him a chance, it's more so if he himself wants to take the chance and whether he's up for the challenge of having to work much harder on the pitch than he has done.

I think the large majority would love to see him back on the pitch, but especially after Sunday also understand that he has to put in the work and prove himself and if he doesn't, we can see why he's being excluded.

but didnt he put in the work under Jose? I do also think Jose restricted him and made him play without any freedom which is the complete opposite of why we bought him. Under a manager who allows him to play to his strengths we will see the best of him.

Although he does seem sulky (might just be his demeanour) he is clearly a class player. An old school class player who doesn't run 100k a game. He has the moments of genius that gets the fans on their feet and can change a game. Exactly the type of player I love.

Obviously needs to up his fitness which he appears to have done going by that released video recently. Lets trust in Nuno that he is doing whats best for him and knows how to use him best because he could be some player for us. No other player has what he has and IMO it is worth being that little bit more patient for.

I’m sure Nuno remembers his last season’s performance against his team when he was manager of Wolves. Not something that is easily forgotten.

He must be leaving or we are attempting to do a deal. Can’t think of any other logical explanation he’s not in this conference squad. Even if 50% fit he could do 30 minutes. But fact is we’ve seen him in main training sessions. All very bizarre.

He is being well and truly frozen out

Hope he goes ASAP and move on, wasting a squad place

Why do fans back players who have told our club they don't wanna play for us anymore? Honestly don't get it, get him out for a decent fee and reinvest.

As i said in the other thread - no-one is going to pay the transfer fee that DL will want and no-on is going to pay the wages TN will want - he is unsellable…

he has been a financial disaster for the club
