This is what I thought.

Although as I read your post I thought it was going to say: "T as in Tanguy, A as in Anguy, N as in Nguy...".

Writing the song is going to be the challenging part -

I’ve composed a little song - ee
It won’t be very long - ee
It’s going kind of wrong - ee
Cos nothing rhymes with Tanguy

Tanguy Ndombele convinced of Tottenham move thanks to Mauricio Pochettino
L’Équipe transfer guru Hugo Delom has provided more detail on the ongoing negotiations between Tanguy Ndombele, Tottenham Hotspur and Lyon which will appear in the outlet’s newspaper tomorrow morning.

Lyon and Tottenham as of this evening have not agreed a deal… yet. The contours over which they are negotiating are an €80m package, which includes €15m in bonuses.

The player is ready to make the move to Spurs – after his time with the French national team earlier this month, Ndombele travelled to London to visit Tottenham’s facilities. The ex-Amiens midfielder wanted to concretely see what Spurs could offer him. The 22-year-old left his trip in London completely convinced that Tottenham was a club he could join.

But the biggest factor in that trip was his discussions with manager Mauricio Pochettino – the Argentinian tactician was able to convince Ndombele of the club’s future project and that it was adequately ambitious: to build a team that can win the Premier League next season.

The player, who appreciates the style of the Premier League, is convinced that this step will further his progression and still give him an adequate shot at making France’s EURO 2020 squad.

Contractual discussions between Ndombele and Spurs are not concluded yet either, but a very long term deal is in the offing. An English source has told Delom that an agreement between the player and club is 80% done.

As for fee discussions, they are ongoing: Aulas will not accept anything below €65m guaranteed, and wants an additional €15m in bonuses. Daniel Levy knows that his manoeuvrability for negotiation is limited, but is still trying to bring the price down to between €70m and €75m.

A source at Lyon told Delom tonight that an agreement over fee would likely be concluded “in the next 10 days”.

10 DAYS!! fuck that! proper wrist slitting.

Bahaha, I was considering doing this myself but was probably gonna wait til the signing was of confirmed.

We had some good chats me and @LeParisien. He's a good dude but his silence of late has been deafening ;)

Nothing more than bantz.

It's just the fact that his periodic reminder as to why Ndombele wouldn't be coming to Spurs stuck in my mind.

In fairness, he did make some good points as to why he thought it wouldn't happen, but like us all, I'm sure he's chuffed to bits if we do indeed get this over the line.

Ive not seen this N'dombele chap, but from reading this I gather he is like D'embele on drug's, better than De'Jong, and should in no way be confused for Njie or N'koudou...... Sign me up!

I'd say the safest thing is to just go by what the french media say. They obviously have very good sources.

It was a reply to N'Done, so it's not a total pooh-pooh. Was hoping it was imminent though.

My guess is there's still haggling going on about the fee structure.

#thfc accelerated with their move for Tanguy Ndombele last night by agreeing to meet the €65M valuation excluding bonuses set by Lyon. The midfielder will sign a five-year contract with his new club. [Le10 Sport]

Le10 Sport has been pretty reliable when it comes to France. And they're the second French outlet to say it's done, along with
RMC Sport via Mohamed Bouhafsi (who's also been reliable with France).

Whilst JJ’s tweet isn’t the best news in the world, I’d be absolutely shocked if this didn’t happen now.

If Lequipe are saying it will get done within a 10 day time frame, I’d suggest that means we only have minor details left to sort.
