I don't recall him playing with Dier in a CM2 v Man Utd, but he definitely did v Man City. He and Dier in a CM2 behind Son, Erikesen, Lamels and Kane and we won 4-1. It was the game N'jie came on and got an assist (was only his 2nd appearance for us), tricking us into thinking he might be half decent.

He had a far better game on Sunday than I was expecting but I really wasn't expecting much. Judged on his standards it was better and I was impressed that he put in the effort but I guess it ought to take more than that to impress.
Where he goes from here will change or confirm my opinion but he'll have to improve to change it.

Couldn't last the whole match yet again. Knackered after an hour. I'm not sure what kind of message that gives to any prospective buyers, but I really do think he needs to be upgraded.

In the 65th minute didn't he chase down the defenders who in the end had to pass back to the goalie who kicked it out?
I think people overplay the fitness thing with him as a stick to beat him with. Overweight is another when he clearly isn't.
I'm not saying he doesn't need to improve his fitness, but let's not overplay it.

I don't think I'm overplaying his fitness issues. It might be an idea to check out how many times he's managed to complete 90 minutes. I haven't checked, but I imagine the answer would be 'not very many'. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong mind you.

Maybe not but at least when he's on, he terrifies defenders with his aggressive running with the ball. I'm not sure what Ndombele is supposed to be doing.

He was seriously out of gas well before he got subbed. Him and Moura virtually waved Villa through for their goal.
