Twisted quotes.

"I suffered a serious muscle tear, and there is a major risk of me suffering a relapse."

"If the muscle tears completely then I will need an operation, and 14 weeks of recovery time"

"So we are trying to find the right way of working the muscle as much as possible."

"I will have a scan in two weeks' time. We will see how much it has recovered, and how far we can push it."

"It hasn't been fun for me having to watch from the sidelines while the team has struggled."

"It motivates me to come back quicker and stronger. It is my aim to be fit again as soon as possible, but I have to take my time."

Doesn't sound like he's very close at all but I suppose we will know more in 2 weeks. Hopefully it's not the same leg he had that strange injury on last year.

He's going to miss so many games that the injury really couldn't have come at a worse time. Plus World Cup year will mean he won't rush himself back in case he fucks it further. Mind you that sounds sensible!

If he knows city are interested then why would he sign a contract here. He can walk in to any team in the world and he knows this with his buy out clause, when it comes in to affect, he has the power. Thats why I believe levy paid all the money for sanchez as he knew he will sell toby for big money in the summer.

Who said City are interested?

No play is going to rush back from injury with a World Cup coming up.

yeah but both Southampton and Bayern have shown you don't have to sell and can pressure the big guys over tapping up. Would love to see Levy take a leaf out of Bayern's book.

I think we put the price up with Berbatov because Fergie had tapped him up. I wouldn't be surprised if we put the price up with Bale and Modric either due to RM tapping them up. We just don't do it very often, IMHO.

We've missed Toby dreadfully since he went off against Real Madrid. With Toby back, and Victor back, and Lamela back firing on all cylinders, this would be a major boost to our hopes of another top four finish.

Happy new year peeps!! (y)
