I feel like we are holding the cards in this situation.
Yanited have been linked with other numerous CB’s (Mina being the latest) but we know from ITK that Toby is the one they want.
As the deadline gets closer I think they will start to get desperate especially with Mourinho throwing his toys out the pram.
I guess it comes down to what we can get (hopefully Martial).

Last ITK I remember said the original contract Toby wanted and was offered was still on the table. Surely if "bridges have been burnt" beyond repair that wouldn't be the case?

I think we can safely say he’s going to go this window. Whether it’s before the close of the European one or the English one is now the question.

Personally, I’d sell him abroad.

Time heals all wounds. A genuine apology and showing true remorse for what happened and I can't believe he can't be forgiven. I mean honestly what could he have possibly done that was this horrible?

I'd like to know also concerning what he did.

I'm taking a pure guess here, based on a hunch. I remember last season there was a lot of talk, I think, if I recall, mainly from the Palace chairman, that there was a lot of player unrest at Spurs..and a good few were unhappy. Now considering that Toby's gripe was about wages..could it be that he tried to initiate a player revolt with wages being the main focul point ?

I'm purely speculating here. But considering that we have now broken our previous rigid wage structure...etc etc

Would explain why the players are absolutely fine with him.

I agree, that we are reluctant to sell to rival PL team, just like United are with Martial. I expect once 9th is out of the way, both Alderweireld and Martial will be off to the continent..

Last summer, we sold Walker the day before he was to report to pre-season. I would not be shocked with something similar with Toby in the next few days.

Toby Alderweireld in @hlnsport: “I will return to London this weekend for the start of pre-season with my club.”
Too right you will and don't be fucking late!

He didn't want the original one though, he rejected it and wanted more so Poch supported him and he got offered what he asked for then rejected that which is where Pochottino's problem with him lies.
I'd like to think it is the original one that is on the table as that would prove he is genuine about wanting to stay, then maybe review next season.

If he stays im certain its because he signs a new contract. Otherwise hes off.
I don't think he's staying. But you're right, if he is staying, he has to sign a new contract without a release clause.

I think it must be the second one, as I wouldn't have thought Poch would have entertained going back to Levy when Toby asked for more.

if he's not staying, its because man u agreed price with levy , and likely lower one at that, that would be bad news with nothing coming the other way
