I'd hope we see what Bayern would want for thiago, wasn't he "on the market" earlier in the window?
They are selling boateng to psg but claim they don't want to buy another CB. Would be an ideal situation if he needs to leave and we got thiago imo.

So Skysports News start chipping in on the Toby, Rose & Dembele rumblings of now officially being available (so they claim)

Surely Spurs have fed this news through to certain sources with 1 week left of the window as they're happy to consider lower fees. If this news has been leaked I think it's an indication that we have room for movement on certain prices that may have been on their head earlier in the summer

Well it's from Lyall so there's about a 60% chance he got this information from talking to a fence post someone left a hat on at the new stadium.

When I saw the headline that Spurs will accept bids for trio I thought I was going to see N'Koudou, Janssen and Llorente, I should have known better :D

I don't mind those 3 going but it doesn't look like we'll be adequately replacing them all. I just don't know what to think, potentially losing Rose, Toby and Dembele and maybe getting in Grealish and an unknown. Doesn't sound like the best bit of business but will have to see when the dust settles!

In truth, they are 3 players who could easily rightfully be in our starting 11.

That would suck.

This is my main concern. Its great wanting three players (CM, CAM, WF) to add to our bunch. Terrible if we lose Rose and Toby leaving ourselves ridiculously short of quality. I refuse to believe the club is that stupid, but then again I wouldn't bet against it.

I am too thinking surely we can't leave ourselves in such a position. I guess the worry is also that if we receive 3 good offers for those players I can't see us not taking the money and it's certainly a possibility that we'd still continue to struggle to bring in anyone afterwards.

Basically, I'm just not sure I can envision us bringing in 3 players for instance in under a week.

If we shift those 3 quality players and sign Grealish and only one other, that player better be truly world class or the window will have a been an utter shocker.

Grealish was supposed to be a bonus signing not core business. If those 3 go we need direct replacements.

The rest of the top 6 would be laughing at us.

I'm confused with the Toby situation - surely we don't sell without bringing in a replacement? That'd be so risky from us...

Unless Poch is absolutely convinced Foyth is ready to step up...and since we've not seen Foyth in pre-season due to injury it's hard to give a personal opinion whether he is ready or not!

Already probably are to be fair as we're the only one who haven't made a single signing.

Yeah I agree. I also saw Grealish as like a nice supplementary signing almost but as every day passes with no movement it turns more and more into a priority signing. I just don't see how we're looking to shift those players, without looking to at least bring 3 players in and I'll be shocked if we achieve that.

I think Toby was replaced a year ago with Sanchez. If Toby goes we’ll be left with Vertonghen, Sanchez as first choice, Dier who is more than able to step in, and then Foyth and CCV as understudies. I personally would hope that we signed someone more experienced than those two, but it’s hardly a disaster. Then there’s the potential that Eyoma is deemed ready.

That is absolutely not good enough. Look at the competition and their depth, not to mention we can't just look at the competition in our league anymore as we are competing against Europe now.

Th alternative is to sign some bog standard mediocrity like Ben Gibson or the like who will stall Foyth/ CCVs progression by taking their minutes, as I can tell you for free, no player of Toby’s ilk is coming to play second fiddle to Jan and big Dave.

Don't even know who Ben Gibson is but that would suck as well.
