for sure i get that but what's the root off 'suck' = bad?
Possibly sucks hind teat, which is a really old English expression.
The offspring that sucks the hind teat gets less milk.

I think we'll have offered him more than united or anyone else which is the issue now. He wants VVD money but no-one is offering that.
That's my hot take anyway.
Toby is such a source of frustration. I was a centre back in my day and when Toby joined Jan I thought we were sorted until those guys decided to retire. Didn't see the toys being thrown out the pram at all, as he seemed a pretty down to earth and classy guy. Sad.
and suffexed by 'Yee haw, pastrami on rye'No idea, but it’s usually prefaced by “gee that”

sorry man, i may have taken it slightly off topic, but i have learned something from a magic sausage and isnt that really why we are all here? the football stuff is just smoke and mirrorsI never thought we’d get to this point. A summer transfer window so utterly void of life, we’re now pondering the etymological roots of idioms both old and new world. Fuck, I didn’t even now what etymological meant until scrolling through this site while performing my first of many dumps today. Fuck you, Levy, for forcing my educational development in totally pointless matters
So if we don't buy a replacement basicly we will have CCV and Foyth to come in, no chance of a 3 at the back then !Agreed. I'm quite surprised that some people are now happy to not buy another CB if Toby goes. A few weeks ago the ITK's were talking about de Ligt and Pavard. Now we don't care? Strange.
Yes Dier can play in defence, but with fitness concerns over Wanyama he'll likely be needed in midfield. Foyth is a promising young player but with no PL experience it's asking a lot for him to step up in the event of a Jan or Sanchez injury.
Football is just a carrot dangling on a stick that leads to SC and a higher state of consciousness.sorry man, i may have taken it slightly off topic, but i have learned something from a magic sausage and isnt that really why we are all here? the football stuff is just smoke and mirrors
I dont even support the Totenham HootsparsFootball is just a carrot dangling on a stick that leads to SC and a higher state of consciousness.

It doesn't matter how good they are, they are still young and that includes Sanchez as well for that matter !Maybe it's the fact De Ligt and Pavard are not available? Perhaps there's nobody we rate available just yet, but there may be in January/next summer. Buying for the sake of it leads to a bloated squad of fillers you then can't shift, see Sissoko, Nkoudou, Llorente etc now. Equally, the comment I believe was, he won't be replaced. Maybe that's just not like for like, and a DM/CM will be signed instead of a CB.
The only way you get experience is to play. I can only assume Poch and his team have seen enough in training to think we have players capable of stepping up. If you don't place faith in the like of Foyth, Carter-Vickers & Walker-Peters etc, then you just end up stifling their development until they get sold, and you start the cycle again. Only way they develop into first team calibre players is to actually be trusted to play.
Exactly, this is why he put the release clause in the contract. He’s looking out for himself, we always knew it. We always knew he would be off when it suited him.Not a chance, if he signs for Manure he will be on over £150K a week.
I seen it coming, don’t really have a problem with it as it’s the way the game has gone. He shat on Southapton so no reason why not us if he wants to move “up”.
But you will need over £40m and more to find an equal replacementI get that, i do. However if as the chinese whispers campaign is alleging, we would have cut our losses for the greater good of squad "harmony". So i dont buy the current story out there at the moment.
We paid 11.5 million for him. Even being sold at 40 million would be selling him at a profit..

You forgot thisThis isn't right. Early on in the window there was ITK saying Toby would be replaced.
Ive just seen on Twitter that we’re negotiating for smalling or Jones to be part of the toby deal. ????
