How can someone say something is unbelievable if they're literally saying it is currently happening, therefore must be in the realms of belief. I have noticed across several recent posts by Gards, he has exceptionally poor use of the English language.

Gards has a tendency to get overly emotional.

Not sure I am believing this at the moment all seems to much salt is needed
Precisely, he probably will leave but we've had mixed messages today on Toby. Equally, Danny Rose is still a spurs player and Zaha isn't going anywhere.

I struggle to see what on earth Levy is going to do to save this window. Such a massive massive shame going into the new stadium without strengthening the side, we had a real chance to win the league if we gave the team a bit of a boost with proper quality.

With the players Chelsea and Liverpool have signed, and assuming City and United are still a bit stronger than us, we have made it harder not easier to get CL and win trophies and it didn't have to be like this.
Leicester one the title without not one player in their squad who would make our side.

Signings aren't everything, coaching, player familiarity and general positive attitude play a huge part too.

You know, all these people screaming for signings must not think much of our manager if they think he isn't good enough to do anything with our current excellent crop of players.

At this point of time when we are selling our key players instead of adding quality, I am not only emotional, confused and frustrated. I think most of us felt betrayed with all the empty promises and gutless approach to the transfer window. Fuck u again Levy!

I've been banging the "sell to highest bidder, regardless of who that is" drum this whole time...BUT

I think I'd prefer we say if you don't send Martial we don't send Toby and be prepared to keep him until January. I think Man U will believe we're bluffing and will eventually cave. I also think Man U without Toby are worse than we are without Martial, so the pressure is on THEM for this. It hurts them more (if they think we are bluffing) this season than it hurts us. If they won't give Martial, then hold on to Toby and try to sell him outside of the league or wait until January when Man U has dropped points.

Yeah, Mahrez and Kante totally wouldn't get any playing time here...

I don't see this happening unless they cough up big bucks. So quiet on the media front too with this one

If he sells Toby to MU and only gets Grealish over the line that will guarantee a negative net spend which is always nice, right???

I think we are screwed here either way. My guess is Poch doesn't want Toby around. So if we want to sell because Poch wants him out and Man U is only one interested, we dont have much leverage.

If they get say 60 mill for Toby, OK. Sucks not getting Martial back though. My bigger worry is that the money will simply not be spent because there are still no clear links to anyone except Grealish and Martial. Selling Toby and buying only Grealish would really be a big middle finger to all Spurs fans.

I really believe that United without Toby are a mid-table squad this year. Everything is shaping up to be a typical season-3 implosion for Jose. Mourinho will throw all of his toys out of the pram by September, Pogba hates being there, Martial hates being there, defense would be in shambles...it would take all year for the new manager to regain the squad, whilst they all talk about leaving next summer.

So, I am now officially in the "No Martial, No Alderweireld" camp. Previously I would have sold to the highest bidder, but I enjoy a good meltdown.

They signed Kante that summer and Mahrez I think had done about 6 months of the season prior, both would get in our squad with ease, pure revisionism and the top teams are in completely different states these days.

On the contrary, I just think he is already extracting the maximum from this existing squad of players. 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, indicates that. We can't quite get over the line and we need more quality.

I think some Spurs fans have got overly confident and bullish based on our recent seasons, they think we have a stronger squad than we do, I really really fear for our CM and we are still in the same situation, god forbid Kane get's injured.

It's pure bias towards our players and as much as I love them they aren't all the best player for their position in the league.

I think you both know what BBLG meant but you've decided to pick up on the part of his post that mis-represented the point he was trying to make.

Our team and squad are vastly superior to the Leicester crew that won the league.

Well then you need to read his post again because he said not one of their players would make our squad, It's also been said that transfer windows don't win titles look at leicester, well leicester signed Kante. It also goes to show that two players can elevate an entire squad. Irritates me when people say it's mis-represented when i've replied to the literal words that were posted.
