Starting to make a little bit of no sense to me.
Where have you seen this quote because I can't find it anywhere.
Edit - Actually, I've just found it - and you've misquoted him lol - he said 'He played like different players against Newport, and the decision was be out of the squad.'. He was just giving a basic answer to the question because he was annoyed they kept on asking about Toby. He's doing the same thing that he did when Rose came back from injury earlier in the season.
He meant that he played like Van Dijk, ie half as good.Fair enough, I got the quote from an ESPN article who must have misquoted him

Until there's further evidence I'm going to assume they feel it's better if he works on fitness levels rather than sitting on benches ala Rose previously. If they don't feel he's fit enough to start these games then it's pointless him travelling. We've just got through the tough League games with Sanchez & Vertonghen playing well as a pair so maybe they don't feel need to rush.
If he doesn't start against Rochdale though then I'd worry a bit unless he's picked up an injury.
We didn’t.
They’ve read Gards tweet then tried to get the agent to confirmhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...ds-tottenham-future-fresh-doubt-belgian-left/
Not really too much into the speculation behind the contract situation but he's out of Juve apparently.

Toby played against League 2 Newport in the FA Cup but refused to travel to play Arsenal in the league
Doesn't make sense
its thePoch got annoyed in the press conference because we'd just beaten our biggest rivals and played them off the park, only for him to be asked a question about why a certain player who has just returned from injury wasn't included. I'd be very surprised if there's anything more to it than that
