Just watched the goals again and a major worry still for me is Janssens movement to get into a position to score

After he scored he should be full of confidence. But for our 6th goal when Eriksen is looking to cross the ball Janssen moves from a goalscoring position and runs to the near post where if he got the ball it would be virtually impossible to score

Ball ended up with Son who scored
I'd suggest you look at Janssen's highlights from the Netherlands and how many goals he scored at the near post. It's clearly an area he does well in. Ridiculous to say it having scored 6 but yesterday we through away so many chances by shooting instead of passing Alli could of had an easy hatrick with less selfish play!

He was making the space for Son. It worked.

exactly if janssen make a back post run he moves into son's space and then the one defender can cover two attacking players.
I thought Vincent's movement yesterday was brilliant, sharp and fully committed, really was only his missed header that was the only disappointing aspect. Hopefully it's a start of good things to come.

Hopefully an indication that the 352 can start to bring him out of himself and we'll see him settle down. With more support around him he might be able to concentrate on getting himself facing goal and into scoring positions.

With Kane out I suspect we'll play Son up front but it could mean Janssen getting a bit more game time.

Next season is where we can see if he truly has a place in the squad.

Has anyone got a link to footage of his goal, celebrations, MoPo apparently being really happy?

I was out looking at a new minibus. Which we didn't buy anyway. :(

He has improved and finally scored from open play, but let's not go over board.
He still missed a sitter afterwards when he was supposedly full of confidence after his goal. And it was against very poor opposition that was already demoralized after being 4-0. MIllwall players were static all the second half.

He is still far from being ready to be our striker. There's still a lot he needs to work on training

Wouldn't suspect you of such an atrocity.
It was a clean, cool and clam goal, the sort of thing that only true goal getting abilities can produce. How he managed to stay so calm and place it so well, I have no idea. It was class.

I feel sorry for the keeper. I thought it was a fantastic save personally.

Very poor opposition who had already beaten 3 premier league teams.
You have no idea what he 'needs to work on in training'...nor does anyone on here.

He was a yard or 2 out. Little room to direct it, other than towards goal. Keeper made himself big and saved it. A "miss" would have been heading it over.

The keeper didn't move and Janssen headed towards him. He didn't have a single millwall player near him and he could headed it anywhere he wanted.

I'm not going to slate him for this as we won by a big margin and it didn't matter at the end, but it was a sitter, and he missed it when he was full of confidence after scoring.
All I'm saying is we shouldn't overrate his display. Hopefully he can build from this, but he still has a long way to go.

Teams can have great games and still be poor opposition. When he scored the millwall players where mentally beaten. He was barely marked. I'm not saying it doesn't count, but things have to be put in context. I remember when he had a decent game against Villa. He was decent because Villa were shit and didn't even care about the game. Next PL game he was shit again

If you are implying there's nothing he needs to work on in training, you are basically saying he will never come good. I have faith he will become at least a good backup when he fully adapts

The keeper made himself big, Janssen headed it down. Unfortunately it was at the keeper rather than either side. Still a good save/reaction in my mind though. If the keeper had just jumped up, or out towards him it would have gone in.

I agree it wasn't the best header of all time as he obviously timed his jump badly and consequently lost power, but I don't understand how it is considered a 'sitter'. It's a difficult skill to master heading the ball like that. If he had used his feet, or headed it over I'd be in agreement with you. Not going to change your mind though, so it doesn't really matter.
