Tottenham boss Antonio Conte planning double deadline day transfer swoop

Spurs manager Conte is keen on Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma and Nottingham Forest's on-loan Middlesbrough star Djed Spence as he looks to freshen up his squad in first window in charge

Tottenham are still considering deadline-day moves for midfielder Yves Bissouma and right-back Djed Spence.

Bissouma has been a target for several Premier League clubs including Aston Villa and Newcastle.

And there is a belief Brighton will be open to do business at the right price with the Mali international now into the final 18 months of his contract as they do not want to lose him for free or, prior to that, for his value to drop.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte is looking for fresh blood for his midfield and a deal for the 25-year-old is on the cards.

Space is being made in the Spurs squad by the departure of Tanguy Ndombele, who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan.

Would be reckless spending £40m+ on Bissouma whilst he’s out on bail.

Cracking player though!

Wouldn't be against it but surprised we may be moving for him based on his arrest in October. No news on what the outcome is/was is public from what I can see.

We seem to be very close to signing Bentancur. Would we bring in both him and Bissouma? That’d be quite the strengthening in midfield

We waited months to get Aurier who had a case against him as well so we have previous in making such a decision

And a sure sign all 3 of Ndombele, Gio & Dele are off. But that RWB slot is still iffy if Spence is the alternative to Royal.

Personally would like it all to be put behind him legally and officially before signing him. Would mean more competition probably, but not worth the risk at all. Imagine spending 40+ mil just for the player to be convicted. Would be a disaster. Top player obviously.
