Hopefully nothing too serious - did Ange say anything post match?

He is a rolls Royce of a player. I watched that thinking peak Barca would love to sign him.

Just so composed and happy to take the ball any where. Not to dog on hojbjerg too much but bissouma does all the things that hojbjerg doesn't that makes him such a frustrating player. So much composure on the ball and confidence to take it on in any position on the pitch.
Totally agree mate: this system will bring out the best in him and the most important thing is that he can be trusted.

From what I heard on Spurs Play when Ange was interviewed, the most pleasing thing for him was tonight’s midfield three. That’s where the games will be won this season in his system and to have competition for places will push all of them.

Best performance for us by a country mile today. Looked so much better on the ball, went round two players edge of their box and won a freekick for example. Very composed when barcelona pressed us also..Has to start ahead of Hojbjerg at the weekend.

His footwork in close quarters really impressed me tonight. I didn't know he could move his feet so quick with the ball. I honestly think a midfield of Bissouma, Bentancur and Maddison could be one of the best midfield in Europe.
Exactly mate: that is a mouthwatering prospect. The fact now is that we have quality in that midfield three with this system: Biss, Sarr, Maddison, Bents, Lo Celso, Skippy and Soloman will come good too.

He is different class to Hojbjerg. As decent as PEH is, he'd never be able to shimmy away from players like Biss did today. Really allows for effective vertical football.

Different talents, obviously Bissouma is easier on the eye, but I'd play em both

I'd probably pick PEH over Bissouma as an 8 tbh. He's got more of an eye for goal, some creativity, decent presser etc.

As a 6 I think Bissouma is by far the better of the two, though.

I agree the two of them could work well together with PEH competing with Sarr for that 8 spot until Bentancur is fit.

The way he played tonight is the Bissouma I was so excited that we bought from Brighton. Not the one Conte tried to make into a functional robot.

With him, Maddison, Sarr, skipp, Lolo, lo celso, we have some serious depth to our midfield.

It’s decent, but not great. Honestly think midfield is the most important area in a team and we had one of the best a few seasons ago. I’d love to see one other top class midfielder join, but we may struggle this season to do that.

Very intrigued to see how Bentancur would perform in this system.

Was thinking the same earlier. If he comes back ok from his injury, he could be absolutely unbelievable.

As for Bissouma, he was consistently one of the best midfielders in the PL for Brighton which is why I was so desperate to sign him. Conte is an absolute war criminal for his poor use of him.
