He was very gòod in the 2nd half but yes he did screw up for their 3rd
Exactly I’d take that mentality from a player than someone who’s just happy to pass the responsibility to do that. Those players don’t get scrutinised because the mistakes aren’t obvious but negatively effect the flow of the game far more.A little bit of perspective. He coughed the ball up and it led to their goal but he had to try and beat their press all game or pass it back to Davies or Emerson.
they pressed really well though but yeah, should have passed it quickerHe was very gòod in the 2nd half but yes he did screw up for their 3rd
If he just played it out to the left that goal does not happen. Respect for keeping on trying it as likely instructed, but sometimes you just need to pass it to keep the ball.A little bit of perspective. He coughed the ball up and it led to their goal but he had to try and beat their press all game or pass it back to Davies or Emerson.
He wasn’t ‘terrible’ that’s OTT and harsh.
Away to City being asked to play like we do being pressed so much isn’t bloody easy!
One big mistake and a bit below his level but he wasn’t ‘terrible’.
Once we got PEH on the balance in the middle and overall was much better.
He's not the same player we were seeing earlier in the season, certainly seems less sure of himself on the ball.

I'm sure that will change when we get our 1st 11 back. He's not the same player we were seeing earlier in the season, certainly seems less sure of himself on the ball.
Not for me. Diers very passive, backs off. Doesn’t actually want to put himself in positions to make mistakes, yet he still does. Completely different. Bissouma should of done better in that situation but we were putting ourselves under pressure by playing those square/backwards passes. He maybe overdone it but it was the right ideaYet Dier shows good mentality but makes fatal mistakes = costs us points. What Bissouma did for the 3rd goal was very poor and he should know better
There was a simple pass out to Johnson on the left but he ignored it and turned into trouble. He’s experienced enough to know not to do thatA little bit of perspective.
