Love this ? To be fair I haven't even watched it all yet but it starts off with:

James: "Maybe I don't care is a bit strong, but I'm not bothered about us not picking him up from Brighton".
Robbie: "First of all disclaimer people, when it says 'I don't care that we didn't sign Bissouma', that's him *points to James*, not me, I do care. I'm still absolutely.... Honestly I'm angry about it " :ROFLMAO:

EDIT: Actually quite a good debate as to whether they could do with Bissouma or not so far.

It actually hadn't occurred to me that Bissouma wasn't going to the World Cup. I failed to put 2 and 2 together and just assumed we'd be without him for a few weeks for AFCON but, even better.

It's far more than slightly! The revisionism is incredible. He was considered a very good player at the time but for all of his impressive qualities his final ball and general end product was often found wanting. Also had large periods where his form struggled. People seem to think of highlight reel Dembele and how he's described by teammates in training rather than the reality. He was a great player, but he was in a team of great players.
I think most people are aware that he wasn't Messi. His skillset was limited, but in what he did do he was certainly one of the best in the world. We just didn't get to experience it as he squandered some years as an AM for us, and was riddled with injuries in his late years.

Bissouma dominated both of them each time we played Brighton - so he’s got to be first choice for me.

It would then be a toss up between Bentancur or PEH.

Just feel like Conte will favour the latter due to his work rate.
Bissouma was very good in both matches at home last season playing different roles. In the cup he took the game to us in the second half while in the league he played a very disciplined role to cut out the supply line to Kane. I think football is changing and with the squad additions that we’ve made so far and the new 5 sub rule, I don’t think we should get hung up over first choice etc. What we will have next season is flexibility to select a midfield for each match with options to change during the match. I’m not saying the manager may not have a preference for a pairing but we’re finally getting options.

Here’s the thing though: Conte is notorious at not rotating much. So much so that players like Eriksen and Skrinrar were pretty much outcasts for at least half a season when he managed Inter - and that’s even with Serie A adopting the 5 sub rule earlier than the prem. As much as I want a strong squad I find all this talk of rotation in each match fanciful as Conte - unlike Pep/Klopp - has never been one to tinker much with a winning side.

He'll have to rotate to some degree with a World Cup mid season and 5 competitions to deal with.

There will be rotation next season , although it may be via 5 subs in a game.

Edit: I’ve just looked up the playing stats for his last season at inter and 16 players played a lot of games with a further 6 only playing a handful of games. That’s rotating.

That’s Italy. He knows the PL is a different beast and you need the options.

Bissouma leaked image?

Apparently, according to a discussion thread over on Reddit, Yves Bissouma's close friend has just posted this image on to his Instagram story. The two are apparently currently on holiday together in Mali.
Looks the part in the Spurs kit, doesn't he?

In case you’re wondering how the rest of the football world is reacting, I flipped on talksport (my mistake!) tonight and they were talking about why Kane shouldn’t sign a new contract and how him and Conte might walk :ROFLMAO:

Under the radar is how I like it!

One thing we have read a lot is how Conte teams do better with plenty of days prep. I wonder if he would in turn stagger tactical plans and seperate the midfielders?

Example; We have a Saturday game. Hojbjerg and Bentancur play in a 343. During the week those two do tactical sessions on that opponent whilst, Skipp and Bissouma do prep on the team we will be facing midweek.

In a similar vein every man Utd supporter I know seem to think Eriksen to them is a done deal.

I highly doubt that. You'd be seperating the players, creating two different teams. That's what Nuno did, which didn't work out too well.
