To be honest if you ask me… I’ll tell you he’s like a new signing, he wasn’t used last season when he was available and had a long term injury as well.

However he is for me like a new signing as we now have a manager who is using him, and even better it’s in a system that suits him.

He's a magnet for opposition players. He picks the ball up 10 yards outside our box and just draws two or three players towards him, then glides past them. I give it a couple of weeks until Maddison is completely on his wavelength and is recieving the ball in huge pockets of space. It started to happen a bit today but Bissouma maybe just took an extra stride or touch before releasing it. Once it clicks then Maddison will be turning and running at the CBs.

Definitely got Dembele vibes the way he was gliding past people like they weren’t there. He must be shattered, he seemed to be on the ball all the time.

There's no quick quick busy busy work work bang bang with him, he seems to glide past the opposition players who bounce off him so it looks effortless. I think he enjoys the responsibility too.
