Can we count Liverpool as a bottom 5 club because they must be on recent form and I really think we should.

Bogdan and Jarvis are the ones that stand out for me. Bogdan looks good enough to be a first choice keeper, potential Friedel replacement.

None of them are good enough for us.

They must be celebrating...they have more than 40 points

Me neither and for that reason, at Bolton he stays. Plus, the smell of piss and biscuits would be overpowering. Could prove a distraction during games.

Wel now, those Palace fans who rated Moses above Bostock seem to have been on to something. Different positions etc but Moses was always the one they were desperate to keep.

Maloney at Wigan, good little player.

Are we just naming half decent bottom of the table players now? Maloney would get nowhere near our squad, nor would Kightley.

This thread seems a bit silly, think we'd probably all take Hoilett as a squad player. But that would probably be it.

Why would they? No doubt they'll be looking at players in clubs in many countries in many tiers. It's not an either or scenario.

This thread is based on a question posed by the OP. Noting more. No need to worry.

I know. I'm not worried. It's a daft question. Carry on.

Would go for Hoillet - believe he's on a free.

Would pass with Moses, think he's the type of player that needs to play all the time.

Wolves: I'd take Fletcher or Doyle as squad striker - both good players.

QPR: Zamora as back up striker

Blackburn: Hoilett

Bolton: Maybe Martin Petrov for a year on the LW as back up to Bale.

There is no-one who would be an improvement on our first 18 and difficult to see anyone who has experience of playing regularly in the Prem wanting to sign as back up – and with around 40 players capable of playing in the Prem we are not exactly desperate for back-up in any case. The pointlessness of signing someone like Pienaar because he is cheap has already been demonstrated, and Pienaar is better than any of the players so far named.

CF is obviously a problem position and we might have to settle for what we can get, but otherwise anyone we sign has to be either an upgrade on what we already have, a veteran on a free happy to play out his days on a fat contract as rock solid back-up, or one for the future whom we can nurture through the development ranks. I can't see anyone at these clubs who fits the bill.

I'd take fletcher and hoilett

This is pretty much where i'd be looking.

Obviously we've been linked with some big names up top and on the wings, depending on what happens here - this thread may be utterly pointless, however in the interests of debate, i think hoilett could be a great bit of business, he's also looked impressive behind a striker for blackburn, offers plenty of pace and direct play.

Fletcher is not really the calibre of striker i'd ideally like us to be looking at, however, he's a good all round forward with a few years ahead of him. Would be useful back up depending on price.

Lee and Holden from Bolton.. their absences essentially a big reason they'd be going down if they do..
