Why do people persist with this notion, Hoddle, commentary during the game, Neville, Cara all said we were playing 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 if you watched the game you would of seen 2 banks of 4 especially when Everton had the ball, with Kane dropping deep to help out in midfield, the only time this changed was the last 10 mins or so, 4-4-1-1/4-4-2 is in all honesty more balanced, and the best system for the players we have.
We played 4231 with Kane dropping deep and Eriksson,Lennon as winger

We most definitely did not, when Everton had the ball we lined up with 2 banks of 4 with Kane and Soldado up top, which is why Everton had long spells of possession.

I started the poll and now I want to change my mind.

Fantastic response from the crowd to going one behind. As the replays are going on with regards to Mirallas' curler all I can hear is "come on you spurs".

Hold your head up and be proud whoever contributed to that.

Nope like i said it was 100% 4-4-1-1, comentary and pundits confirmed this, last 10 mins we reverted back to 4-2-3-1.

actually eriksen was playing as a left midfielder rather than left winger .......

I voted for all of them, mainly because its true. My favourite moment of the game though was the Soldado goal, the resonse from the ground and it being just before half time was so special, its like the whole crowd was singing together.

You need to make up your mind, first you said Eriksen and Lennon played as wingers, now Eriksen played left mid, to be honest mate you believe what you want, clearly you think the experts commentating the game and Hoddle are talking bollocks.
Crack on mate im not arguing over something that was quite clear to see and confirmed on the day, we won playing some attractive exciting football, something we never achieved playing 4-2-3-1 under Poch or AVB, says it all really!!

2 strikers the most important aspect v Everton and not an option above ..just saying..

Its not just about the 2 strikers though is it, what won us the game was hard work, nobody shirking, everybody taking some responsibility and playing in a committed way.
I don't mind two strikers but you repeat it as some sort of insane mantra regardless.

Why insane?
I repeat it because it is true. 2 strikers is the only way to play. Maybe not Chelsea or perhaps City away but for every other game.
If we did not have 2 strikers we would not have won..use your eyes and listen to the pundits describing our goals.

Not saying your are wrong about the formation, but you shouldn't use commentators saying so as validation, they talk bollocks often.

Formations, shmoremations

Get out there and fucking run around a lot. Work for each other as a team and be aggressive in the tackle, get up the oppo and if you lose the ball try and win it back. Works wonders

A sprinkling of good players helps too!

Well to be fare id rather get an opinion of a ex pro footballer than a armchair fan who thinks they know it all, on this occasion you could quite clearly see the formation during the game, i cant ever recall seeing 2 banks of 4 defending in the 4-2-3-1 system we had been playing previously.
It was a refreshing change, and Kane played a blinder run his socks off.

Just have faith in your own opinion and what your eyes see. Ex pro's are just as bad as armchair fans IMO (who's not a fan of armchairs?) due to there bias's and wanting to sound clever or different. Plus some are just f@ckwits.
