Hope everyone heeds Poch's plea and work as one to make the remainder of the season a success.

Good psychology. If Ade is "feeling the love" then he's more likely to find his form sooner rather than later.

I don't believe for a second that Poch is glad Ade is still with us. But I suppose it is his job to try to make the most out of the cards hes been dealt. I think a normal player would be embarrassed at these stories but I suspect Ade will show no signs of changing his approach to games until he is near the end of his contract.

we need Ade to help push for that CL spot - it may be too much for Harry to continue his high energy game to the end of the season. It would have been lubricous to loan him out to a rival.

Every one get behind the team, any thing else is totally counter productive.

We all know he will be gone in the summer, let's just keep trying to ride this wave of positivity around the club.

Even if you dislike him, surely you like spurs and the rest of the lads more.

Especially against Arsenal. They'll boo him, without a doubt. If we boo him too, then that'd be playing right into their hands.

Is it possible that Ade seems inconsistent simply because some defenders deal with him well and others don't? Or because he has some sort of psychological condition, e.g, manic depression? People are quick to assume that his problem is that he's mercenary, fickle, etc. But maybe there's more to the story. Or maybe not.

I've always suspected that he suffers from either depression or bi-polar. I'm not an Adebayor fan but it is very difficult doing any job consistently if you suffer from those conditions and perhaps as a society we should be more understanding of these things. The frustration I have is that his clowning (refusing to take off a hat - so petty) gets in the way.

I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes but I can easily imagine an exasperated manager/coach losing patience with him over silly things that Ade could avoid, and because of that loss of patience, failing to support a player where he actually needs support ie. coping and playing while suffering from a mental health issue.

Just my view - I have no inside knowledge here.

For my part, I think we're better off without the guy and have felt that way since Harry left

Fascinating point about frustration over the 'silly things' leading to neglect over the 'big things'.

If anything this article makes me feel even more that Poch was the right choice. The guy is a smart cookie and knows how to play the (mind) game.
