We need to worry about our manager being poached, but not before the end of next season. That's the time to worry, not now.

I dont know, Poch doesnt strike me as a ****. I fully believe that he knows he has built something special and wouldnt walk away from that. Things change in football yes, but I believe he knows he's put a lot of time and effort into Spurs he's not going to want to restart again so soon.

It's the first time in my lifetime the manager is arguably the most important figure at the club, we've normally relied on star players and "adequate" management. Levy should reward him with a better contract at the end of the season, it's vital we keep hold of him.

It will be interesting to see how many players sign new contracts in the next few months,if the likes of Vertongen and Eriksen sign up surly they will want assurances from poch the he will be staying also.

In today's world of modern football with the breath-taking amounts of money involved, surely no player or manager can give absolute assurances ?

They are a massive club but that is not the point. Poch very much believes in what we are doing here and the way we are now going about our business. He would not be able to do things his way if he went to an "uber club". He may end up at one one day, but I'd wager he would rather prove his theory/philosophy before that happened.

He has the opportunity to set us up as an Uber club in his own image. He'll never find a better opportunity than now, with the youth set up already in place, a crop of quality graduates already tearing up the place, the facilities and, soon, the stadium to match with CL also looking likely for the foreseeable future.
He would have to be off his rocker to give that up for the clusterfuck that Utd have become.

Think it's a no brainer that he will be given a new contract at the end of the season, I am sure he is also gonna get a bonus for where we finish in the league.

I admit it's tough turning down a club like Man Utd. But... I have faith I him.

From Red Cafe discussing the same article. And Dan Walker is just looking to increase his retweet count!

In the past 72 hours 3 knowledgeable individuals have suggested Pochettino to Old Trafford for next season! Interesting.

For those that think Pochettino can't do the MUFC job: his Espanyol was the team that got more points out of Pep's FCB?#justSaying

Great to see that taxpayers money is going towards an unbiased BBC...unless he has solid proof he should get in trouble for this, he represents the BBC they shouldn't deal in rumours, just facts. Trying to derail us because United are woeful. Hope we win the league to shut them all up.

From Red Cafe:
Is Pochettino doing better than any other Spurs manager? Isn't it just that all the "usual suspects" are rubbish? If us, City and Chelsea were at their normal standards would anyone give two hoots about Pochettino? It's not as if he's responsible for the decline of other clubs. If Spurs were on target for about 85 points, then you'd have to say Poch has done a great job. But the reality is he's just on course for AVB or Sherwood points totals.

It's more a case of "right place at the right time" rather than anything else. For every single great thing the media, fans or pundits say or write about Pochettino's amazing job at Spurs, it's totally negated by the fact they aren't on course for an unusual points total and several f the top clubs are in turmoil.

Pochittino's hype is a result of selective reasoning and we see it every single time a new coach great coach comes along, be Juande Ramos at Sevilla, Benitez at Valencia, Le Guen at Lyon, Klopp at Dortmund or AVB at Porto. The coach never has anywhere near the impact the football industry makes out. Old school managers used to, but the modern coach doesn't.

Fair point. LVG is an old school manager, he's made a notable impact on Manchester United and I thank him heartily for it...

The fact that no-one is on course for a high points tally kinda tells you that the standard of the league has got a bit tougher, 3/4 teams don't suddenly implode or underachieve just like that.

If he's taking merely just points into consideration he's just an idiot who comes from the Tim Sherwood school of thinking, there are many many other factors as to why Poch is being considered a top manager other than the total number of points we have.

We have been so disloyal to managers that we should not be surprised that the anti-spurs media are peddling this. Many will feel that he is fair pickings. It annoys me that there is no mention of Ranieri or other over performing managers. I hope that Poch is planning on building something special and we are paying him enough to stop the temptation otherwise I fear the usual will happen.

He forgot that poch rebuilt the squad so that it is unrecognisable compared to harry's squad so I personally think he is probably at this precise moment about a year ahead of schedule maybe 2 if we keep this going to the end ?

Christ on a bike. Overreaction much? He's allowed to tweet rumours and opinion. It's got fuck all to do with BBC neutrality. This isn't some media conspiracy to destroy our title challenge. It's a rumour. And like it or not, Poch is going to get linked with the top jobs, just as our players are always linked with big money moves. It's a symptom of performing well.

Personally I think Mourinho is nailed on for the United job, but that's not going to stop people talking and speculating, or websites from posting click bait articles about it.

You sound like a deluded scouser on RAWK.

And you don't think it's slightly strange that these "rumours" are starting at the most important part of the season? I think you are being a bit harsh, no need for the outright attack, was just an opinion.
