Successful man gets head hunted. So what it happens everywhere and always will. Poch will I hope stay but no one person is bigger than the club. We make him the best offer we can , give him payers who can respond to his methods and see how it goes from here. Maybe he will take the big club route now or maybe he is excited by the thoughts of building something at a rich club, with a new state of the art stadium to come alongside it's state of the art training facilities. This is more likely to happen at a club like Spurs that has had years of being ordinary than at a club that is used to winning everything.

So Poch might go for the lure of the glamour clubs or he might think that as a young man he could have a number of years to build something unique and then go and take the fat one, two, three year contracts of the likes of Manu, Barca, RM, Bayern, Chelsea, Man City ... like Pep

Not in a state, mate. Reckon this is probably bad news, that's all. Hope I'm wrong.

Poch has publicly said he's going to sign a new contract and wants to build a legacy with us. You just have to trust that he's not going to leave. He's earned that from us so far.

@JJetset said this as well:

"he (Fergie) is in town for Utd game
Great host and most managers meet there & do this
It's normal you just didn't know "

Fingers crossed you're right then.

Tell yourself guys, does Poch look like he doesn't care about reputational losses?

Think he would like to take that job in a few years definitely. Most would, so I'd prepare the worse

A club our size is always gonna have the bigger dogs circling when we start looking a bit juicy and alpha ourselves

Man Utd is a dream job for most managers. Anyone who doesn't think he would take it is a bit naive. Sure we're building something special here, we have a lot great young players as well as great training facilities and a new stadium being built. however Man Utd are still one of the biggest clubs in the world, they too have a lot of young talent and already have a massive stadium. If Man Utd decide they want Pochettino they will likely get him sadly. I just hope they go for Mourinho or someone else.

If there's one think I've learnt to live with being a Spurs fan is that we're destined to be left dissapointed. It's sad but true. Whenever something good comes around it soon evaporates. That's why I would not be surprised if we lose our manager now that things are looking up. If anything things are too good to be true for us at the moment. I'm not going to panic but I just wouldn't be shocked if he joins Man Utd.

It is very well known that every time a manager got promoted to the Prem Ferguson would call them up. He created an atmosphere of managers talking to each other.

People create a conspiracy out of everything nowadays. Every action or word said has to have a hidden reason to some people.

If the Utd job is available and they want Poch then he will be aware of it through one channel or another.

Ferguson is always informally mentoring managers. He does it all the time. He's their Elvis.

And if there were anything untoward afoot here, they wouldn't be walking around in broad daylight outside one of London's most photographed restaurants.

I always expect something awful to happen because it's Spurs, but I don't think this particular meeting is a concern.

I dont believe there is any truth to Poch going to Man U but if there is they would both be making bad choices. Poch hasnt proved he can win things yet, its too early in his career.

My guess is that Ferguson wanted to sell man utd to him, poch politely went as he's that type of person only to then show him his middle finger, rip off his shirt to reveal a 'Tottenham til I die' tattoo across his chest, then told Ferguson put a 3 chocolate mousses to go on the bill, one for poch, one for levy and one for Lewis, something for them to enjoy while poch tells them how he told Ferguson to fuck off....I don't know the full details but I'm fairly confident this is exactly what happened.

i heard Ferguson is actually a rep for the Interstellar Wino Association, and was trying to persuade Poch to buy a 'Clough Level Dispensation'

If i was Poch, just for a laugh, i'd have hidden my face as i left and jogged a bit... yeah, i'm lying about the jogging, fuck that, but i'd at least play up trying to be coy, see what headlines came up next day :joyful:

Or run away holding a briefcase close to your chest with a few notes sticking out of it and constantly looking around you.

I heard Fergie is starting a new Whisky and Steak business. He provides the whisky and Poch supplies the Argentinian steaks. It's going to be called Pocho's
