With the fixtures piling up relentlessly, Saturday's fourth round FA Cup tie against Leicester comes as a mixed blessing for Tottenham.

I think he'll want to win every game. Lamela is now available so it's not as dire as the article makes it out to be.

Personally I'd want to win the FA Cup rather than the League Cup, but since we're just a step and a half away from the latter, we might as well try to win both.

Saturday to Wednesday, not like Thursday to Sunday game weeks. With the opposition we're playing wholesale changes shouldn't be necessary.

it could be a chance to play a couple of young players and give fringe players a game. I think we will burn out having played way to many games in the closing stages of the season but we have rotated our squad we must be close to have playing 38 games by now. I know we have played the most in the league. Think how many more points we would have had if we had not had EL.

We can still play if need be (attacking players)

Ade, RS, Lamela, Townsend, Lennon, Dembele, Paulinho If we want to rest Kane, Chadders, and Eriksen. Maybe it will be the ideal time to give minutes to Oduwa or Onhoma ?

What we have this season that we never had before is a minimalist injury list. There's no one out injured at all right now, for the second time this season ... and only the second time in my memory. Ever.

It makes the rotation much easier when there's a full squad to choose from.

The lack of injuries, as well as suggesting a hefty slice of good fortune, also suggests that the squad is fitter than in previous years and this also works against the burn-out you are worrying about.

Not convinced by this. Plying regularly can be a huge boon - players, do I think, quite like it (I'm told that racehorses do too. Not playing football of course, though you never know!). As long as managers and coaches are alert to identify fatigue in individual players, the more we play the better. It will help a 'new' bunch of players gel all the more quickly.

I agree but what we need is Lamela, RS and Ade to find some form as it's been the Eriksen and Kane show with glimpses and a lot of goals from chadli. I don't feel we have got enough out of our right side and strikers this season if they start firing and Chadli eriksen and Kane keep there form we could have a blood good season.

I agree I think they do there must be a great buzz around the training ground, but look at teams who play in European football there results suffer the top teams get used to it and are so much better than the rest so they can cope. But Liverpool last year if they had EL they would have lost a lot more points, Everton this year. We are the only chasing team who manages to stay top 5/6 pos each year. We have a young squad and I hope adrenalin / desire and fight keep us going.

I had a mate who was a Chelsea fan he reckoned it took years for Chelsea to balance playing in the premiere league and champs league. It does mentally drain players and the travelling. Also it's tough on the scouting and prep fir the next game, you do not have much time to prepare for the next team. I agree you have to be in it to win it and I would love to win a trophies or two get champs league that would be an amazing season.
