(1) Reasonable as in Levy is the type to press the panic button and make a change, perhaps.

(2) Reasonable to offload Pochettino because of results? Absolutely not.

The squad needs a bloody great big overhaul long before we start seriously questioning management - until we've had at least another two transfer windows I'm granting Poch immunity because what's the viable alternative?

I'd agree with your analysis (i.e. I think that your conclusion to question (2) is correct), but the fact is that we DO have Levy as our chairman, so point (1) is probably [sadly] as relevant a question as point (2).

The former for me but if we continue in this fashion, the atmosphere will be toxic and we'll be right back where we were last December-in crisis.

Am I missing something here? The OP isn't saying "Pochettino out"...he's asking if there's a possibility he could be gone by Christmas.

Extremely unlikely, but considering our track record with managers it's hardly an unreasonable question.
Nah. You thing Levy would put us back even further? No, this raises serious questions well beyond management. I think if Levy canned Poch now he would crucify himself way more than the manager. His position would become hated and untenable.

Let's not blame it all on Levy-Spurs fans are notorious for their impatience.

I agree the atmosphere at the Lane is bordering on the toxic now. Reminds me of 97 around when we lost to Chelsea under Gross

If he isn't, I give up. Needs a full season and full pre-season. If we start next season as poorly as this, then I'll worry but mental to worry now.

Oh ffs...all we need now is additional pressure coming from some fans.

No wonder others laugh at us.

For once just suck it up and show some patience.

This is embarrassing,.

I think fans ire will be squarely at Levy/ENIC's door personally and if Levy makes Poch the fall guy then shit is truly going to hit the fan IMO.

Don't think his position should be tenable now, but things won't change regardless if he did pull the trigger on Poch now or Xmas.

Moronic thread, no offence OP.

Poch has inherited a bang average squad of chancers and shirkers. Bringing a new manager in will make absolutely zero difference in the long term. Poch needs at least two more transfer windows to reshape the squad before we can judge him fairly.

But this is why he is there for to keep the flak from the chairmans door.

I don't think Levy cares a jot for what the fans think, and at the end of the day it's his office that P45 forms do and don't get printed from.
We've played 5 league games at home and lost 3.

I am so disillusioned with Spurs that I can't even get worked up about Poch's future.

I Agree but he should have had some things sorted better by now the defence is still a shambles the passing is weak and he still dont know who his best front man is but We should stick with him.

Poch will still be manager at Christmas, I'm almost certain.

Things behind the scenes would have to be horrendous or results would have to go Ramos-esque for him to be fired so quickly.

No need to be so abusive towards the OP, he's only asked a question. If you think it's premature to ask, just say that, no need to be a dick about it.

Oh I know the protocol alright, but it was abundantly clear once Poch was installed as manager that Levy cannot afford for this to be another managerial fuck up otherwise an already bubbling resentment towards Levy/ENIC presiding over questionable transfer dealings, managerial casualties and the ongoing saga with the stadium is going to be hard to ignore.

Today's game really reminded me of AVB's defeat to West Ham. For me that marked the point where the crowd ran out of patience, and from that point onwards the atmosphere in the stands was inimical.

Crazy really, considering he's been here 5 minutes.

Doesn't feel that way at all to me. Each to their own.

It's a poor thread just because its such a vague and up in the air question. Of course there could be a chance he isn't, if heaven forbid we lose every single game between now and Xmas then...

Unless its an extreme scenario like the above, where everything has fallen apart and change is clearly needed, then I think we'd need resignations above Poch's head too because the plot will have been lost sacking someone after a few months.
