Now what did Benitez say when he had his big falling-out at Valencia? 'I asked for a table and they bought me a lampshade'?

I think its the last of Dawson(Like the guy but he has gone backwards..burnout maybe???) and Lee(Not a bad back up player we just need left foot balance) and Robinson will only last till the summer. If this was june you would see serious changes now but we cant as teams wont release top players. We have to try now as the lure of Uefa Cup football wont be there for us next season.

P.S Zokora looks a better CB than a midfield player and we look a much better side and play better football when he is there. Oh the JJ consistancy drives me nuts..from an England player to a ballet dancer in 3 weeks...its soo frustrating for me can only imagine what JR and Gus think.

i wouldn´t object to every player committing an error being subjected to the old "electrocuted bollocks" treatment. that will fucking learn them.

dawson and chimbonda would have fried nads though

Well said Sir.....A zonal defence 'may' be the answer but we will have to 'test' our 'would be' zonal defenders to make sure that they will understand what is required (and I jest not lol). COYS!

I think we should just ignore their players, and just head the fucking ball away from our goal.

Did anyone catch Martin Keown on SSN talking about spurs set piece defending. He was talking alot of sense. He was saying that the best system can sometimes be a combination of zonal and man marking. I guess you man mark the danger men and place the spares in zonal spots. He said you need a couple of generals out there making sure everyone knows what they are doing and where they should be doing it etc.

He's actually the best former arse pundit. The rest of them are idiots...baring wright who is entertaining at least. Keown has sense so it's a shame he has no charisma

No charisma, but a forehead larger than his jaw. C'est la vie.

Zonal for S/P and corners has been mooted before, but it's very dangerous.

Zonal and man marking could work, but the best thing would be strict man-marking methinks.

Makes sense to me. The system they have been using so far this season and last doesn't work worth shit. A change of system can't actually get worse than now....can it?Eek

So then, does ramos have it in him to transfer his ideals for defensive responsibilities in Seville to the hallowed turf of White Hart lane?

Or has he undone Jol's efforts and now we are being turned over far more frequently than before?

my sentiments exactly, was always told to make sure your head is the first to the ball whilst defending corners.

i never see this with our lot

I think by this statement Ramos and Gus are asking a few simple questions from our players.
1) Do you like playing at Spurs?
2) Are you happy with the way we treat you and your families?
3) Do you enjoy living in London?
4) Are you happy with the wages we are paying you?
5) Are you and your families content in the homes we have helped find for you?
6) Are you fit, healthy and well prepared for every game?
IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN YOU HAD BETTER START PUTTING YOUR BODY AND HEAD IN WHERE IT HURTS AND CLEARING EVERY FUCKING BALL THAT COMES INTO OUR BOX OTHERWISE YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES WILL FIND YOURSELF STUCK IN SOME CORNER OF ENGLAND THAT HAS'NT SEEN SUNSHINE IN 10 YEARS PLAYING IN HALF EMPTY STADIUMS.
