Watching that makes me appreciate how boring training must be!

Especially if you are not getting game time, must be tough working hard all week and then watch the game from the bench then and go out on the pitch afterwards to do more training once the cameras have turned off and the fans have all gone home.

Kinda wish pre season was like that when I was in full time. I remember getting the arse ran off me for 2 weeks solid, didn’t see a football for that period either. Running, sprints, vomit and repeat whilst the physio swung his stopwatch in circles and told you to do it again as you didn’t get in on time. We had 15 mins to do one run which was frankly fucking hell! Came in around the 16 min mark, 5 mins rest then made to do it again even though there was no chance I could. Brings back some horrible memories of running up and down sand dunes and collapsing. Can’t believe they get a ball ???

still stay around the area in question and it still sends a shudder down my spine when I walk through the place where those beastings took place. Glad football has moved on, lucky bastards
Used to see the Spurs training down Hainault Forest sometimes when based at Chigwell. Tough, I used to get exhausted watching it. You’d be feeding ducks with the toddler and a professional would stagger by being half carried by a team mate.

the amount of injuries picked up back then was unreal

I suppose this is where sport science now comes in to it although I have heard that both Neil Warnock and Tony Pulis still used this method of pre season training when they were premier league managers.

I read on Football London that he’s been training with the U23’s - anyone know why?

Maybe he has been using it to get some fitness back before trying to impress the new manager?

Haven't heard he was training until today.

No tickets are on sale yet for the pre season match against Arsenal but hopefully that will be very soon based on the government update around live events

Hopefully he gets a chance in preseason. He’s had a tough year or so and needs to get back to getting in the goals. It cant have been easy being a kid out on loan during the last year. I’m not sure he was helped by all that hype either.

Can anyone confirm that wording for the Arsenal game bit confusing. Is it £35 and £5 goes to charity ? Scandalous if that’s correct. But no surprise club is worse than some dodgy scam emails I get.

I'm pretty sure that's what they mean. £5 is split 25:75 between Mind and the clubs' foundation. I think they've tried to word it cleverly to make it seem like the whole fee is going to charity.
They're charging premium packages at £169 including food and drink so they definitely aren't going to take the loss and donate it all

How much should it be?

Imo from the get go they’ve definitely made it look like it’s all in aid of charity. And £35 is ridiculous from a friendly even if it’s Arsenal.

Whilst I understand charity will get some donations and publicity- the overall prices for pre-season friendlies is way too high! I feel that this is taking advantage of COVID and many people attending will be going to just get back into the groove. Most friendlies are a little more than longer training sessions. It's a shame, but it's also the times we live in.

In another move of sheer genius, MK Dons and Arsenal tickets both go on sale at 10am tomorrow - on completely different ticketing sites. Thanks Spurs!
