Sixteen days to the WHU game , get some idea of who Ange wants when he names the squad to travel . As Skippy is with England U21's assume he will miss the tour , must be in need of a holiday.

The matches are down as friendlies…

Will they be ?

Seem to remember last pre season the Roma game was quite feisty in Israel.
Of the current 1st team squad the following missed last years pre-season tour, Rodon (illness), Ndombele, Reguilon & Lo Celso , same again for the last three ??

I've been feeling that next season might prove a turning point for Ndombele and he could become a big player for us.

Seeing his entrance and demeanour in this shatters the illusion.

I'm being a little bit tongue in cheek but feck me that is not the body language of a player who needs to knuckle down and apply themselves with energy.

Lad does not do himself any favours.

Not aimed at you, and I get people being hopeful, but Ndombele just doesn’t care. Literally every breath, movement and action he takes, it all just streams from his pores that he couldn’t give a shit, and he’s after a pay cheque. Not judging on a video but generally he’s put next to no effort in the entire time he’s been here, and I honestly don’t think it matters who manages him, the bloke just could not give a shit. I wouldn’t even have him travel with the squad.

On a positive note, great to see how excited Bissouma seems to be to be back, and the likes of Emerson, Bentancur and co just seem to be popular with basically everyone around them. We’ve got a good group, it’s even more important to just get rid of the likes of Ndombele before his attitude stinks the place out.

I think we should only judge on the pitch. Very easy to see a player like Bissouma walking in and be excited vs. Ndombele and dismiss him. It's just someone's personality and demeanor IMO. I always try to look back at Yaya Toure at city as an example of Ndombele. I remember the narrative around Yaya is that he slugs around on the pitch, looks like he's at 50% and etc. etc. but at the end of the day he produced.

There's not a doubt in my mind if Ndombele is showing results of projecting towards 5-10 PL goals and 5-10 assists throughout a season then I believe he will play, and the manager will find a way to get him in the side one way or another. Even in his "best season" of 28 starts he only got 3 PL goals and 2 assists.

So when you look at those production stats from an "attacking" midfielder, if he's not producing there then he has to become someone in the Bentancur mould (who actually even had 7 goal involvements in 18 matches). Is he working hard defensively? Is he advancing the ball quickly? Is he press-resistant.

IMO he has a sliver of opportunity with Bentancur being out until Sep/Oct/Nov - who actually knows, but totally up to him to show Ange on the pitch.

Christ jesus. I'm no fan of the guy and think he needs to be moved on, but the reaction to a 10 second clip of him getting out of his car and walking to the door is absurd and over the top.

Missed the "body language experts" since Tanguy went on loan.

Totally agree.
And if we are going down the body language route Hugo, Bryan and Reggie gave off worse vibes.

Watching those videos actually gave me a little bit of a fizz, we actually have some decent players which is easy to forget after last season.
