This is what pre season was set up as, a long with a closed door friendly(or two, can't remember now). Having those set up would be an absolutely fine pre season.

The club had no control over Roma pulling out, or the weather for the Leicester game (other clubs have gone here most years and played fine) yes we can say it's not the best of ways to prepare, but it's not been a shambles. If those fixtures had all stayed as they were and been played, I bet no one even mentioned there being an issue.

Yes. I mentioned elsewhere. It's mental that people were saying we need a complete squad overhaul to play possession based attacking football .

Yeh the ref had a nightmare. It’s pre-season, have to be sensible and protect the players in a game like that.

Booked Bissouma early for an accumulation of fouls then booked nobody else. Ref had a terrible game. Also made us take a free kick further back than it should have been given on the edge of the box (actually think it was the one in the video where Bissouma was pulled back).

I beg to differ. I've tried Nord a couple of times. Very soon, the BBC just cottons on to the fact that a "household" has several thousand appliances and blocks it. Believe me, I've been trying and failing since the advent of VPNs. I usually start with a free trial and well before the end the BBC wins. It works with everything else I've tried but not the Beeb.

Ok, I’ll caveat that Nord works well for me with BBC. Don’t doubt your experience, but it isn’t mine. Same as in I’ve struggled for years, but have been paying for Nord for over a year now and it works for bbc for me. Sure I have to change servers from time to time, but was able to listen to test match special all summer.

Personally, pretty shocked at how well we did against a full-strength Barcelona squad. saw the line ups... i was expecting 5-1.

and in the first few minutes, they opened us up and got an early goal.

but we responded brilliantly. we actually looked comfortable on the ball, and Barcelona was the team that looked to be taking the risk playing out of defense. even thou we lost, we played really well, we could have gone 1-3 up, plus I also felt the 2-2 goal could have been called offside.

i admit... this match made me excited for the season, but i am still trying to be realistic, but i am quietly hopeful.
