Yep. No way. We will be more organised and hungry. Never underestimate the need to perform under a new manager

Not convinced. To be honest, I cant call it either way but I would prefer to play them later on.

We need to stop being pussies. Are we really complaining about Arsenal getting prefential treatment and facing scary West Ham on opening day.

Its just a list of matches. We need to beat whats in front of us.

Your a maverick!

It's not luck of the draw, there was a good interview on the beeb with the fixture secetary for the league a year or so ago and he said Arsenal like their first game at home which means we're away.

Take a look at first game fixtures for the last 40 years and you'll see it's something like 35-5 to arsenal. Maybe we're fine with them being home first but to be away on First, last and boxing day is a bit shit.

Do what?

beating west ham is a great way to start a season as far as I am concerned.

We are in a league against 19 teams not just Arsenal. We need to stop being such babies, its embarrassing.

Since the Premiership started on the opening game we have been at home 7 times and away 15 times (with arsenal having the reverse)

During the same period for the last game of the season we have been at home 14 times and away 8 (with arsenal having the reverse)

combining the two fixture dates we have been at home 21 times and away 23. thats quite close so as much as we would like to say we are being hard done by, it really isnt the case.

We could however continue to argue that we need a fairly share of home openers but personally that doesnt bother me too much.

I think an opening day defeat sets a negative tone that takes a run of good results to recover from.
psychologically it is far more than 3 points dropped.
And you can double the impact because of the rivalry.

Wham away is a tricky fixture for us at the best of times.
I guess the upside is a nice win might set Wham up for a relegation plagued season.

I'm really not that bothered about them, but I can see how many to most fans will look to this game to draw a line under last season, and measure how well the 'restoring our pride' project is launching.

Its mind boggling that in England you guys have to hope for EPL games to be picked for tv. In the US, if its not on NBC or NBCSN, we can still stream it on Live Extra. How does the US have more coverage of an English league than England?

Btw, west ham first day? Its like the PL wants us to lose. Fucking twats. Hope we kick Spams teeth in.

Hello SC-types, I have just posted this in General Football, but as it is entirely Spurs-related, some here might find it useful. It's an early view of our season's fixtures, subject to considerable change depending on TV and how we get on in the Ropey League play-off.

Feb looks tough as hell

Hopefully come our visit to The Emirates we will be up to speed. I felt the same fixture last season came too soon for our new look team. We shouldn't make a many changes this term so need a good pre-season and several weeks to get into the new system.

I like the look of December too. Bar the end of month game against Utd at the end of the year I think we could pick up a few wins in the most congested month of the season.

Spurs have played away 8 out of the last 10 seasons. While Arsenal have been at home 7 out of the last 10 seasons. People might say - well you have to play everyone twice but is hardly random each year.

We aren't allowed to show football between 3 and 5 to stop people from not going to the games and watching it on telly. It also helps the lower league teams especially if a really good game is on.

I actually like it and plus we all know where to get a stream

We are also not to allowed to watch domestic football of other leagues live at that times, so spanish matches have been shown over here showing only the second half lol
