Actually Liverpool need to qualify and go out after the group stages, just a bit concerned about the English coefficient should we continue to perform poorly in Europe. Don't want the EPL to drop to 3 teams!

But Liverpool would drop down to EL if they lose the qualifier. So it wouldn't hurt the coefficient that much, although there are a lot more points up for grabs in the CL.

I was just using your example with them in the qualifiers.
But yeah I guess if they drop into Europa and do well in that without winning it, then that works for me too.

Coefficient will no longer matter due to changes in the rules. If liverpool get knocked out the tv pot will be split 3 ways instead of 4. Unless utd win the europa.
