Why are the Premier League teams that are involved in Europe playing on a Saturday this season? I thought all of the matches for our PL and CL teams were meant to be played on a Sunday to aid recovery?

Conte is already moaning about having to play City on Saturday, both teams having played in the Champions League, he reckons the game could have been put back to Sunday giving them both an extra days rest seeing as there is an
'international break' coming up.

Life is tough at the top eh ?
At least Mourinho is funny and entertaining when he moans. Conte is just a complete asshole. Is there anything he won’t whine about? Easily the most punchable PL manager in a long time.

I looked at the easy Man U start for this season, the teams they have played are presently sitting
in 11/14/15/16/17 & 18th with Palace tomorrow rock bottom in 20th.

Yes I agree we all have to play each other X2 over the course of the season but this is some easy ride to rack up
a few points.

Ah well.

Yeah I agree with that. Gives them a chance to solidify themselves and then when they play the other big teams can just go out and get a draw

Nope. The only rule is that clubs should have at least two free days after each match, barring special fixture dates in the festive season, at Easter, or in exceptional circumstances (e.g. postponed matches causing a fixtures backlog). So a club playing on a Thursday night shouldn't have to play the next Saturday, and a club playing on a Tuesday night shouldn't have to play the preceding Sunday, but other than that it's whatever the TV companies decide on.

On that note, it seems Sky Sports want to force Arsenal vs Liverpool to be played at 4pm on Christmas Eve this year, with the potential for another match to be a 1.30pm kickoff that day too. Thankfully we're away to Burnley which is hopefully pretty unattractive to them for a 'Super Sunday' fixture.

Expecting United to score 3 or more.
I've also got West Ham vs Swansea on.

How does United get this far into the season without playing a team that’s even capable of finishing in the top half of the PL? It’s hard to even get a feel of how good they are with the shit they’ve been playing against.

United are so good from set pieces. We really should score more from set pieces as well when you consider how many big players we have and the service Eriksen and Davies provide.

Andy Carroll has just taken the Swansea keeper clean out by throwing himself at a Swansea defender, taking a ride on his back to get high enough to smash into the keeper.
