So much talent up front and still so shit at the back. Klopp really hasn’t learnt his lesson when it comes to defending.

Crazy that they didn't buy a few half decent defenders when it was clear they weren't getting Van Dijk. With just a decent back line they could be title contenders.

He will NEVER improve them defensively. It simply isn't in his make-up to do so. Being better organised defensively would take away what he tries to do offensively, he won't make that sacrifice. If they don't make top 4 this year and win no trophies the pressure will start to ramp up.

They're terrible at set pieces. Surely they could work on improving that without detracting from their attacking philosophy?

I agree, you're right, that should be an area in which they spend extra training sessions on. However, I don't think Klopp wants to lose any training time on his offensive training. I honestly think he believes that they need to get luckier in front of goal and the defence would be less of a concern. There is simply no evidence of improvement.

It's not clear to me what are Liverpool trying to do. I can't really detect the DNA of the team.

Newcastle are awful.

If we don't finish the season above this Liverpool team again I'll be livid.

2 exerts from the bbc twitter feed

"Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno breaks free down the left edge of the box, but his cross ends up in Sunderland."

"Moreno is just like that player on FiFA, that inexplicably shoots every time you press pass."

Although I don’t disagree. You can’t say that having say a Toby and Verts at the back wouldn’t improve them massively. Would probably help offensively as well.
