West Ham have spent all that money and they're somehow worse than last season.
Should've taken Levy's approach.
Any manager who plays more than three new signings on the opening day is asking for trouble. It takes time for players to settle, and for team-mates to get to know each other. Impossible to have cohesion immediately.

Liverpool look more solid with Keita but I still wonder about their defence when they come under pressure. West Ham look stronger than last season but as with Newcastle I can’t see where their goals will come from. Their midfield remains a work in progress with the game just passing Jack Wheelchair by. Nolan is lucky still to be playing at this level.

Edit

They have just brought on Snodgrass lol

Looks like there might have been a reason why we released Fredericks. Rabbit caught in headlights thus far

To be fair, playing well in Championship is completely different to facing top sides like Liverpool
His first game.

Away to pool.

He'll be ok.

Pelican could do with going to 5 at the back and unleashing him a bit on counters.

No point coming out and playing up against them as it'll just be 2/3 more.

Tighten it up a bit and see if you can nick one whilst not taking any more damage.

Regardless of the offside, more shocking defending from Wham. So much for tightening up that defence which conceded the most goals last season...

Big Nose...go 5 at the back.

Back 4 are too narrow and midfield not coming back to fill the line.

Just go 541 and then at least you get some play out of Fredericks on counters.

Wonder if that scouse blogger has filed that one under 'injustices' for when Liverpool don't win the league.

I know it's only the first game but West Ham must be joint bottom of the league now. Thirty five minutes plus stoppage time to hold on....

They've bought what they needed.

Crazy concept, but they took the leap and it's seemed to have worked out.
