UTD have looked good defensively but it's hard to tell how good when all they've had to deal with is Abraham

Worrying performance from Chelsea as far as they're concerned that's for sure.

This is a bad result even against a good United but they're getting thrashed by a United team that doesn't even look greatly special.

I look at that Chelsea team and without their saviour Hazard it looks worse than Leicester and Wolves. I can see them finishing top 10 this season.

Only just turned on the game - what the hell?! Thought this would be a draw or a Chelsea win. Love to see it though.

I suppose they don't have much choice now, but Chelsea are playing completely into Utd's hands. They're are probably the quickest team in the league and are completely set up to play on the break - Chelsea are allowing them to play just how they want.

This Chelsea side quite simply doesn't have enough goals in it to pose any kind of threat this season. 5th is their absolute ceiling and that's being generous.

They are decent on the counter and that's about it. I think they'll get some joy against better sides but not against the bus parkers.
They've got by far the best defense of the United/Chelsea/Arsenal cohort though. The latter two have a mountain to climb to finish top four IMO.

We'll have to be careful when we play United. I can see us dominating like last season and getting shithoused on the break if we set up like we usually do.

I think the key is to sit a bit deeper with an out and out DM. Nullify the speed and look to counter ourselves.

United press has been good, first 15min aside.

I think United's biggest problem is a mental one. Start of the game Chelsea were on top and United were poor. Took to penalty and goal to give them some confidence.
Similarly Chelsea looked the more likely to score but United got that counter. From there they had their tails up and Chelsea gave up.

Think if you take the lead vs. United they'll drop their heads a bit.

The problem is that we don't really have a DM who's up to the task. Dier is far too immobile and would be cut to shreds by their pace, and Wanyama is finished. Think Sissoko will have a very important role to play against United.

They didn't look particulary great first 30 mins or so. Gaps everywhere. But they have shored it up. But yeah a team spearheaded by Abraham is no barometer. Should do better than last season though

I think Skipp is a decent DM. Better off the ball than Winks imo.
