This is where I think we fell down under Poch. All that running does eventually tire players out and I dont think we identified the right players to replace them.

For example, it was well noted, by Poch, that Ndombele needed a lot of time to get up to speed with Poch's methods. Time that they unfortunately didnt get. But wouldn't it have made more sense to target players who had that ability to our press others?

Lo Celso seems like a good fit in that respect and Bruno would have been too but the likes of Sissoko, Llorente were no fit and even Winks wasn't exactly a fit either.

If you're going to play the high intensity relentless pressing you need young players and I think thats something Poch lost in his ways.

I think Brighton are our only hope of some good news today, so fully expecting them to roll over for Arsenal.

Willock scores again. Highly impressive run of scoring. Hope Newcastle are able to sign him permanently.

Chelsea goal disallowed

Didn't even need to be told it was because Werner was offside.

I didn’t know how I felt about the finishing below Arsenal but out of the ECL. Have to say now it’s done, I’m happy with the outcome.

who knows, we may just win the bloody thing and that would give us a boost and a Europa league spot the following year (if we needed it).

With all the top 4 excitement, I didn't even realise Newcastle finished 12th. Fair play, considering a lot of their fans thought they were going down a month or two ago.

Joe Willock can go back to being crap now.

Paul Merson predicts major twist on final day of the season involving Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester City

He wrote for The Star: ‘Chelsea and Leicester deserve to finish in the top four in my opinion – not Liverpool.

Leicester will hope to take advantage of a disruption at Tottenham with Harry Kane this week signalling his desire to leave the club with Merson also backing Palace to maybe cause an upset. ‘Leicester have probably got the easiest game too. Spurs just lost at home to Aston Villa, have a caretaker in charge, and have the Harry Kane situation to distract them.

Jorginho ends up being Chelsea's top goalscorer in the league with 7 goals.

All 7 penalties.

I think this also smashed the record for lowest top scorer for a top 4 side. Current record is 11 goals I think.
