Not sure whether Ward-Prowse is a really good player who would improve our midfield or just really good at set pieces.

Good to see Shaw get a booking there, I swear he gets away with those sliding late tackles so often.

They seem unable to score. I think they’ll likely be safe though.

Brighton had 31 shots on goal only four on target. That says all you need to know about Brighton and what has been the issue for last season and this season... they badly need a top quality striker. If they had a quality striker they would easily be top half and gunning for top six in my view.

I really like Potter but going to be difficult to recruit a striker for a club of their stature...

But surely they can do better than Maupay?

I like Maupay, his build up play is decent but yeah his finishing is not great. When your strikeforce is Wellbeck and Maupay and relying on them to finish the chances galore off is not a good idea.

Someone like Ings would have been great for them.

I would like to see their stats for big chances created. Sure they have a lot of shots but usually when I’ve seen them they’ve been of low quality or just don’t do enough to score goals. Sure some of it might be down to poor finishing but it all isn’t. Other times I’ve seen them they just look like they are poorly coached in the final third and have a lot of ball but always make the wrong decision.

Yep. A natural finisher, someone like prime Defoe, would have a field day.

Considering the disruptive and average season we've had and the poor results along the way. To think we are only a few points behind Chelsea is odd. Not sure what it means
Before that period of shit results against Wolves, Burnley, Southampton and Chelsea themselves, there was a situation where we'd have gone ahead of them if we'd won our games in hand*

*Yeah, yeah, I know. Ifs, buts, maybes. But still.
