I don't see any other outcome tbh. Top 4 would just be too perfect for us with Conte and Kane and whatever else probably hinging on it. The footballing gods just won't allow us to have that sort of happiness.
If we went into that game needing a draw I guarantee we would fuck it up.

Does anyone actually enjoy watching City? I’ve barely watched them at all this season as I find their games (apart from us or Liverpool) boring due to their dominance. Always find myself looking for another match to watch, even if it’s Norwich.
Same city and pep are very boring

Leicester are absolute gash. Why people think we're going to struggle against them is beyond me.

With their chances of playing in Europe next season banking on winning the ECL, I think they will not use their strongest side against us.

They’re just underperforming a bit. The quality is obviously there, even if they’ve been a bit underwhelming. What gives me confidence is, like arsenal get to play west ham between their two legs vs Frankfurt, we get to play Leicester between their two legs vs Roma. Both will most likely be prioritizing their respective semi finals.

Makes little difference if youre gonna lose at home to teams like Brighton.

A well worked cross that comes off a defender is not the same as for example christensen playing nketiah a perfect 1v1 or nketiah miscontrolling it and sarr still playing it back to him in the box. Or saka grabbing hold of azpilicueta and dragging him to the floor and still winning a penalty
Still involves luck is my point.

And I’ve supported Spurs for nigh on 50 years. And, yes, we sometimes lose games that, on paper, we shouldn’t. Every club does. Some less often than we do. Some more often.

This is the Premier League, not the Portuguese League. Even the weakest teams are capable of delivering a shock. We didn’t “bottle it” against Brighton. That seems like a lazy, cliched, and unfair analysis. Unfair to Brighton, that is. Because they were excellent. They won it at least as much as we lost it. Graham Potter devised a game plan and his players executed it nigh on perfectly. Neither Conte nor the players could find a way to overcome it.

And you misunderstand……when I said “it’s just football”, it wasn’t to say that there are more important things in life. Rather, it was to say that losing games against supposedly lesser teams is in the nature of the game. It’s not specifically a Tottenham thing. It’s a football thing.
Like I said. We fuck up.

You said "reckon 5th, what a balls up" as if we've already finished 5th and lost the race to 4th. Every team other than City and Liverpool have a range of dodgy results throughout the season. If we still finish 4th, which is highly possible, then no, I don't think it's a balls up at all.
And there is another balls up. Utter terrible again.

I'll just leave this here and knock back 3-4 bottles of wine. But first, a bowl of ice-cream.

You've bought this back up :ROFLMAO:

The reason why I pointed out your post is because you wrote it as if you were summarising the season as a balls up, when nothing (and still of now hasn't) been determined yet, by any means.

If you're talking about the individual result then yes it's a "balls up"

I can be a ridiculous conspiracy theorist at the best of times but something is seriously rotten about Craig Pawson.

From my recollection, he’s been seen visibly angry at Lacazette missing an easy chance against Liverpool before. He was the fourth official who turned away in disgust when Kane scored the winner against City. He failed to send Mwepu off when he booted Davies in the face when already on a yellow card and has now overseen this game with some ridiculously inconsistent decisions that all favoured Arsenal.
There is an Arsenal Reddit from 8 months ago, where they basically calling him the worst ref for being biased against them (they had lost the last 4 games he had refereed) and even fist bumped Moutinho after Wolves beat them, so doubt he is an Arsenal fan or in their pocket. Possibly just a shit ref.

Copy and Paste from their Reddit below:
Craig Pawson refereed all these games (last 5 games). Unsurprisingly, hugely controversial decisions were made against arsenal in all of these games:

Arsenal vs Chelsea

Jorginho on a yellow breaking up a counter attack with a rugby tackle on guendouzi, no second yellow. Goes onto score the winner after offside keeper obstruction (blocking his view) on Leno.

Liverpool vs Arsenal
Early on in the game, Mane elbows Tierney intentionally to the face and doesn’t receive a card even though referee went to var screen. Mane was key to Liverpool winning that game.

Arsenal vs Leicester
Lacazette has a goal disallowed for ‘keeper obstruction’ when Xhaka is nowhere near the keeper and his view is not impeded. The shot comes from Schmeichel’s right. Leicester go on to edge the game with a lucky counter-attack in the last minutes.

Wolves vs Arsenal
David Luiz is running back, minding his own business and Willian Jose’s leg swings back and lightly brushes David Luiz’s knee. Willian Jose dives and a red and penalty is given against David Luiz. Arsenal were playing their best football and were certain to win from this point. Later, a very similar challenge occurred for Bednarek. Both were appealed for red card retraction but only Bednarek’s was given (even though he actually made a challenge in the first place).

Craig Pawson then goes around Fist-bumping Wolves players (Joao Moutinho) and celebrating after the match.

Arsenal vs Fulham
Very poor refereeing overall. Martinelli through on goal yet he gives a foul for a Fulham defender slipping over (right in front of the referee), and from this free kick they go on to earn a very soft penalty with a disputed offside and score.
