We can definitely beat this Arsenal side next weekend. They’ve looked flat compared to the heights they hit last season. Add in the fact they play on Wednesday while we have a whole week’s rest.

Again Arsenal don't look that good to me. Unconvincing against what is a really shite Everton side

The manner of our victory should have our team bouncing as well.

An injury to Saliba midweek wouldn't go amiss though

On what I’ve seen so far, nobody looks capable of challenging City for the league this year unless City themselves have a major wobble.

Can't work out if they aren't as good as last year or them playing badly and still winning Is a sign of a good team. They kill the game with stoppages constantly it's embarrassing

City are going to win the league at a canter. Closest are Liverpool and Arsenal, and even those two have looked bang average St points this season.

We look good for 4th/5th IMO.

What worries me about the game next week is that our style is more risky and their is more risk averse. On the plus side, ours is much more entertaining so I'd take it all day. There's no way we end the first half with only 2 shots on goal against that Everton side, like the gooners did.

We can beat them, but they will find gaps against us. The game will come down to who takes their chances, and as ever, the first goal will be huge. If they score first they will slow the game down, keep the ball and try and hit us on the counter when we concede possession. If we score first, we'll likely go for more.

I don’t think we have any less of a chance than those 2 for closest to be honest i think thats the expectation for us to falter rather than any evidence of how the seasons gone so far.

City will piss it though thats for sure.

I just hope we play our game and not the occasion next week.
As while it turned out well, we started the Man Utd game quite nervy.

Hopefully we have got any big game doubts out of our system now...

Seems like a bit of both. They’re struggling to find a settled team like they had last year and the balance is different with Rice & Havertz and Jesus injured and Arteta changing the formation around etc, they’ve not looked as good but they’re getting the results.

I think and hope the CL games will slowly slow their league form down.

First time I’ve gone into a NLD feeling like we will really attack and go for it and have a genuine chance of winning it, ofc at home they’re favourites but nice to know we will have a go under Ange whereas under Nuno, Conte, Jose it was just often how many will we get beat by aside from the 3-0 under Conte in race for 4th.

Take City out the league just like take Verstappen out of F1 and it would be so exciting and competitive.

Given the state of the table - we still have not beaten a top-10 side... 👀

Next two weeks will show where we are at. In fact this week did too for 100 minutes. It's fun but we're far from the finished article and will have a bad run at some point. All about the learning curve innit

Lost count of how many times people have said that before we've played them. Make no mistake, they will raise their game against us, and even if they play a long tough game in midweek it will still be by far our toughest test under Ange so far.

Man City might not need to get out of second gear until the CL QF and they'll still win the title by 10 points.

Arsenal such a weird side. Keep grinding the wins out and control games very well without looking convincing

what happens when you’re playing consec. games against the deep block. we’ll have a lot more games like that, like Sheff. Utd this season where we control the game but struggle to score
