If Bissouma is properly on it we can control the midfield against them. That way we can control the game, let’s see. I feel more confident going there in a long long time.

Arse are going to have to play a strong side Vs PSV who have won every game this season except a draw at Ibrox in the ECL qualifying. That and our record breaking comeback should hopefully stand us in good stead in 2nd half. We should be able to get something out of it, though I can see us playing well and being unlucky of course.

They really are going to have a world class stadium in the Championship lol.
Most normal teams would of course have funding in place for their stadium regardless of on-field results. But Everton have been run so badly over the years (an Evertonian ex colleague of mine used to say they were run like a corner shop) I could genuinely imagine work stopping if they were relegated o_O

We all want this but honestly, we never show up at their ground (and them at ours!) irrespective of what kind of run we've been on. A win would be amazing and knock them down a few notches, both teams should be well up for it though and hopefully it's a close game that we can get something from. Would be great to stay unbeaten to keep the confidence building! COYS!!

I know in recent years we haven’t, but something tells me this group of players are different to our usual bunch, and Son seems a much better captain and motivator than Harry. I honestly think we can shock them this time. Will just do our thing, and not play into their hands like we have over the last few years.

These players are different, that's true! Also true is that we have not faced an opponent like Arsenal so far this season. I think we can outrun them but I worry about the defensive side. Whilst our defence has been great, we have conceded some chances to all teams we have played. We will definitely need the rub of the green to have chance and I can't wait to see how this group of players plus Ange approach the game. Big test but if we come away with something, our confidence will go up another notch! Lots to look forward to & here's hoping to a victory!

Even a draw will be a huge step forward, but this lot certainly won’t play for that. Ange isn’t the type who would setup for a draw. I can see it being a high scoring game.

Look at Arsenal's results. They haven't smashed anyone, it's been draws or its been a 1 goal margin. Only exception is Man Utd, who caved in the last minute but that was going the same way. They have conceded less, because the teams they have played have largely been on the back foot.

Im quietly confident.

Yeah but they are a pretty efficient machine. They control games exceptionally well and are very strong defensively, it’s just constant pressure.
They will score against us it’s just whether our attack can score a couple against their defence.
I back Johnson in behind Zinchenko

They get up for the NLD at the Emirates, so I fully expect a quick start. In all honesty I would bite your hand off if it guaranteed a draw right now. Arsenal at the Emirates is the worst game for me. Even if we look to be confident and on form, which we are, we inevitably shoot ourselves in the foot.

Completely agree. I think it’s as good of a chance as we’ll ever have of beating them, no martinelli, them coming off champions league game, an out of form Saka, us rested with a pretty much fit squad.
But agreed, a draw would be a massive result for us.

After the start we have had, I would take draws v Arsenal and Liverpool (though I think we can beat Liverpool at home more than I do Arsenal away). Come through those two unbeaten and we'll be flying.

quietly confident is the right assessment - we feel we can get a result based on the respective teams play / form this season but it is a NLD and form goes out the window! We just need to remain calm, play our game and see where that gets us. We can not afford poor discipline or rash decisions & if we're competing and in the game then their lot will get on their backs which could work in our favour. Everyone does expect them to beat us anyways so it's somewhat of a free hit

Shaw, Malacia and now also AWB injured for a period.

Putting the 'should we loan players to United' argument to the side, a real chance for Regulion to get significant game time in PL & CL in the coming weeks if he can stay fit himself.

If he does well, we might be able to recover more of the €30m than we initially might have thought.

I'm enjoying this MNF, no reason to not have a weekly programme with similar detailed segments on non MNF days.
