Thankfully for Pooh they won the cup because it's doubtful they'd get Europa League spot via the league otherwise. Two yrs on the trot.

Anyone hoping that everton finish above Liverpool? Looking more likely by the week.

There are 5 teams within 3 points of Liverpool if Stoke win, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could finish bottom half. King Kenny my hole.

Bit tricky to quote all them. I'd be here for a week. Seems that the penny has finally dropped and they've now entered the second stage - anger.

If they blow another £100m this summer, they might, maybe get back to challenge sorta seriously for a top 4 spot, but I doubt it. That £100m and massive wages the signings are all on are going to catch up with them soon enough.

Bit of a tricky situation they're in now. They can't stick with KKK this summer can they?

I'd love them to sign Hoolahan for £25m though.

He deliberately keeps the ball in the air - of course this is normal, but i think there's something else going on: he knows that with the ball on the deck, near his feet, there's never enough space to get his limbs orbiting round his torso fast enough. The goldilocks connection zone for crouch is somewhere much further away from his body than is normal. If you watch the connection, it's still not that sweet, this is just the situation that Peter Crouch has been waiting for his whole career.

anyone noticed newcastle being possibly level with chelsea after weekend? very much doubt they could trouble us if we avoid another series of f*ck-ups, but it's really not hard to imagine they could send chelsea to 6th...
