Does anyone know why the Arse/Blackburn game is an early kick-off if it isn't even televised?
Isn't it? Thank God I live in Norway where we can watch every single game regardless of kick-off time :grin:Does anyone know why the Arse/Blackburn game is an early kick-off if it isn't even televised?

I've never understood the English TV rights deal, it's bizarre to me that Sky (and ESPN to an extent) are willing to pay so much money without securing the rights to show every game whenever they damn well please.
It seems like English fans get to see less live PL than any other country in Europe. The whole "not allowed to show 3pm kick-offs" thing I find especially weird, would it really affect lower league attendences that much?My brother lives in the states and he gets to see more football there than we do here. And pays feck all for it too.

But over here in Norway we used to get three 3pm kick-offs with the old deal, and now with the new deal we have three 3pms on TV and the rest available live on our iPlayer equivalent, subscription pending. And all other games that kick off at different times are live. This means that one way or another we have access to literally every single PL game live.RTE (the main Irish broadcaster) did have the rights to show 3pm games for a season or two a few years back but that ended quickly. It's handy that we still get the Setanta 3pm kick offs though.
