At the start of the game the commentator (Ian Darke) said Newcastle had beaten Stoke 2-0 earlier today so a win for Chelsea and Arsenal was even more important. I never had reason to check so assumed he was right. Just looked at the BBC website and they haven't played yet. Weird.

Cannot believe they made Walcott continue... now his hammy has probably gone rather than just a strain.

I love watching Mike Dean. Sets the wall at 11 yards knowing they will sneak forward a yard or two.

Robin van Persie takes on an ambitious volley from an acute angle as the ball drops over his shoulder, but he shanks the ball off his shin and behind for a goal-kick. Before kick-off, Infostrada Sports told me that Robin van Persie had not scored a Premier League goal from open play in his last 615 minutes of top-flight football since netting at home to Newcastle on March 12. Good stat.

Good work, Stoof...

Sturridge reminds me of a kid who is the best player in the playground so just never passes the ball. Worst aspect of his game as he is a good player.

Yep, since he's been Van Smurfied, his goals have dried up a treat (y)

Great work Stoof, just do it earlier next season

He must have lost a bit of confidence, earlier this season he would have just smashed that last chance, instead of cutting back onto his weaker foot.

Does anyone know if any of these bookings will lead to suspensions?
