He must have lost a bit of confidence, earlier this season he would have just smashed that last chance, instead of cutting back onto his weaker foot.

Yeah I think your about right with that. I much prefer a low confidence Van Smurfie than the other one who was scoring all the goals and keeping these red and white shits within hunting distance of the top 4.

Just hope we do our job later this eve (y)

Happy with that, hope our guys don't let us down once again.

Lovely jubbly! Just need Spurs to win our two games in hand over arse with an aggregate 6-0 scoreline and we're third again. Sounds easy enough away at QPR and home to B'Burn. But this is Tottenham....

We need Stoke to do us a big favour now. Then we have to play our most nerviest game of the season.

Chelsea manager Roberto di Matteo after the 0-0 draw with Arsenal: It was difficult to play against Arsenal here and if we had more quality with the final pass it could have been a different result. But it was a fantastic performance, we had a lot of changes but everyone did really well. It's absolutely magnificent to come here and get a point, it's our third game in less than six days so it's incredible how the players have responded."

Did di Matteo not learn the days of the week at school or something? Less than six days would have been Thursday...

Fucking hell... if both us and NUFC win our games in hand... there will be three teams on 65 pts.

I'm taking solace in the fact Newcastle's last four games are;

Wigan (A)
Chelsea (A)
Man City (H)
Everton (A)

I doubt they'll be winning many of them.
