Arsenal won't win the league simply because they lack the squad depth and consistency. They might beat the likes of Everton by five goals but they will drop points against the lower quality teams like Bolton and Burnley.

I don't see City breaking into the top four, in fact, I can't see them in the top five. They are in a similar situation that we were a few seasons back. Expectations will be their downfall. If they don't hit the ground running then Mark Hughes is gone. Another problem is keeping everyone happy. It is going to be hard to rotate Dunne, Toure, Ben Haim, Lescott (if they get him), Bellamy, Tevez, Benjani, Robinho, Santa Cruz and Adebayor.

I don't think they are gonna give much of a shit about keeping the bolded names happy, probably not Bellamy either. It's the big egos on even bigger money who will pose the big problem to Hughes, don't think he will be able to handle them when they step out of line.

just watched the Everton v Ar5ena1 highlights on MOTD, and i think the scoreline says more about how average Everton are, than how good the goons are.

Nothings changed as far as i'm concerned, the goons still won't finish in the top 4.

As for Everton, they looked the most disorganised and disjointed since the season that they nearly went down, reaaly ill disceplined in defence.

I don't think this is true. I think they're squads better than the first team Abramovich assembled.

It will be especially difficult to keep Ben Haim and Benjani happy.

Adebayor is another matter, as he responds well to large sums of money and regular ego-stroking.

If anyone wants to see the goal that never was without having to sit through the Football League Show, you can see it here:

--------------------------Cudicini
Melchiot/Johnson--------Gallas---------Terry------------Bridge
---------------------Makelele
Joe Cole-------------------------Lampard----------Duff
------------Gudjohnsen--------Hasselbaink

That was a pretty good team back in 03/04. Gudjohnsen, Hasselbaink, Duff and Cudicini all in great form then. The only weak position was the right back position. Melchiot not quite good enough and Johnson still young and not ready.

So, let me get this right, last season the championship had a "goal" that was a yard wide of the goalpost, and today we've had a goal that was yards inside the goal but wasn't awarded?

Technology can tell us all this without having 2 extra officials behind each goal, and it's not difficult to implement. It's a complete embarrassment to professional football, and Warnock's right that the players and manager of the opposition have avoided a moral responsibility in not giving a goal to Palace, but doesn't everyone flunk the test? Reading and Watford last year, and us at United a few years ago.

Look, you know that, 30million fans worldwide know that, even the refs have come out and said they wouldn't be against it.

Just try telling Blatter it makes sense :stupid:

Just listening to Warnock on the BBC's league highlights, and he revealed Harry had phoned him to sympathise.

Rooney makes it 1-0 after putting away his header that came back off the post.

Its prity much all manU with Birmingham just getting men behind the ball (although that was close from Birmingham...)

I think Birmingham are one of my most hated teams...
