You do have to wonder how much of the poor concentration and mistakes are due to players being knacked out already. And whether the sitting-back tactics are an energy conservation strategy of some sort, like we dropped the mega-press after burning out in the past.

Always gonna suffer this embarrassment until something changes.

I hope rumours are true about Poch definitely walking if there isn't major purchases in Jan for now or the summer.

No more nonsense, or chasing after average championship players at a bankrupt club all window

Of all the people to fuck things up, Eriksen and Toby would be pretty low down on the list. However, who ever decision it was to play time wasting football away from home with 15 minutes to go when only 1 goal up needs shooting.
It wasn't time-wasting, it was trying to draw them out to create spaces between the lines.

Most ridiculous post I’ve seen on here. We’ve had our best start to a PL season.

You think it's the most ridiculous post you've ever read to suggest Poch is at the point where he feels he's taken us as far as he can?

OK.

I know we're all gutted, but I don't think the way we tried to manage the game was irresponsible.

Yes, we were cautious, but we were also probing and produced a number of threatening opportunities that could have easily resulted in a third goal.

We were in complete control until Hugo put us under massive pressure, so I don't think this one can be pinned on us taking our foot off the gas. We were managing the gane well and had by far the better chances until everything was turned on its head.
Again you mean.

Then Kane got second goal and it was happy days!

And then we went spursy...

We do have six games in a very short period.

We drew because we have become Spursy again. One thing overlooked on the ref, but before Trippier gave away free kick leading to equaliser, Lamela was in their box and ref inexplicably gave foul against him
That foul given against Lamela when their player tried to block him off - only to completely miss him and fall over in the process - was a fucking joke.

Just like most of the decisions the officials made all evening.

Ref was a joke.

We made mistakes, we have to find a way to kill games.

Ref was a awful but don't let detract from that substandard performance tonight. We were awful, truly awful and there are no excuses for that tonight.

Nah it's a mental thing you can see the players tighten up and sit back start to rush and panic. I don't think it's an energy thing at all.

If it was a one off your positive spin might add up - it happens time and time again.
Too much pointless passing which often leads to bringing on pressure at the back/mistakes rather than attacking clearly weaker teams.
Man City would of just kept taking this team apart and run out easy winners.
It's all about mentality, unfortunately our players AND manager seem not to have enough of it.

What the fuck has happened to Son? Why bring Lucas off when he was causing them loads of problems where as Son did sweet FA all game.

I’m sorry but if we can’t find a better left back in the whole of world football than Ben Davies then we might aswell just give up now.

Bunch of jokers and bottle jobs.... we cant qualify from this group we don't deserve CL football. Yes it was a tough draw but Inter and PSV are shit and we cant beat them.

We do the same thing, with thinking game is won and start passing the ball slowly back to front and not finishing teams off, despite each post match the players saying we need to be more clinical, well yes no shit - go and do it then, yet we get the same.

We do not get out this group now and personally would rather we finish bottom but we wont, so EL we go in New year with Arse and Chelsea who will get their revenge on the fans winding them up all summer.

The squad investment yes is an issue and Levy fucked us this summer we all know that but today is not due to squad, similar it is not due to the ref either - yes he cost us but there is only us to blame, we couldn't beat this side, we don't deserve to qualify.

We need to be more like Arse, Liverpool, City and really finish teams off but we don't seem to be learning this year which is really frustrating, City next with a demoralised squad, I fear what they will do to us Mon night and with a couple of tough away games coming up after we could have a really tough few weeks. How long does Poch stick around with this???

And I hate Liverfools playing so well.. Did we swap souls? Ffs

Klopp seen where the weakness were this Summer and acted accordingly. They made the Champions League and they actually behaved like a Champions Football Club and invested heavily in the first team. I know they've made a lot of money from player sales but they now look to be on a completely different level to us now and that really does hurt me badly ?

You gotta laugh really, so much bad luck has gone against us for this CL campaign. First the inter game where a worldy was scored, normally 9 times out of 10 they go into the top tier, and then we buckle under pressure to conceed again. Against PSV we had a goal ruled out for interference, which would of put the game to bed, and then on top of that Messi breaks his hand, and will miss both games against Inter and be back to play against us. What are the chances?
